the minute 247 ranks an alabama player over an LSU guy, you will find their information invalid. But yea, that is some great "evidence"

Question for anyone melting….
Is this a class killer and now that Simon won’t be on LSUs roster, are they out of National Championship contention?
ETA: I didn’t read the thread. I just assumed that like always, there are “those guys.”

He slow played us and we weren’t gonna wait forever good luck to him

He hasn’t even played his Sr season, how did he slow play anyone lol
LSU’s class is barely 1/3 full. I guess shut it down because the next 15 kids they take must really be slow playing them
Y’all will tell yourselves anything

I feel like you didn’t mean that the way it came out bc it looks pretty horrible.

My cousin’s son played for Calvary the last four years. He said it was all about where he felt like he would get the most playing time. Our RB room is a lot fuller and with better talent than Texas currently has especially taking into consideration the two kids that are committed. Hard to blame him for that.

Berry is kinda boring as a runner. Especially against the terrible competition he plays against. Leaves me wanting more.
His athletic profile is beautiful, though.

This just isn't true. We've got 3 active RBs, one being a walkon. We've got 2 in our class, Texas now 2 in theirs. Texas also has 5 of the top 10 backs in the country instate next cycle. He'll be recruited over that quickly on paper. That's the only place anyone on our roster has performed other than the walkon. Neither room can point to college success with their current stable. Just paper.
The other parts of your post appear to be true based on how things played out and the things said the past few weeks from the Simon family. And that's ok. Not every LA kid wants to be at LSU. Simon obviously didn't. He had every opportunity to be here and chose not to. To blame it purely on the Lindsay take is ridiculous from any angle no matter who says it. Simon made that decision possible by sitting on the pot. Again, his choice and it's fine. No reason for ill will from anyone especially the Simon family who seem to have gotten their feelings hurt based on comments they've made.
I don't agree with Lester in this particular case, though I do believe Simon is a better back than Lindsay, but never will I begrudge his opinion or ability to share it. And neither should anyone else. That's what message boards are for. He got 4 pages out of us for a having a different opinion. Job well done in my book

NW LA may be 60/40 Dallas Cowboys over the Saints but when it comes to college football it’s 90/10 LSU-Arkansas.
It’s a long time til December, I’d be cautious as an LSU fan with your comments about Simon. Plenty of time for a change of heart or consequences.

Good take - he could have been in the class if he wanted to

You really think recruiting websites are the Bible, huh. That is kinda hilarious
Or literally ANY other source, including Frank Wilson who decided it was time to take Lindsey and not wait on Simon, why do you think that was? You think he was just preemptively settling or saw Lindsey and Simon as 2a and 2b to Berry? Again, you're on the losing side here no matter the typical LE argument. You want to ig ore every recruiting site, argue against our own long time RB coach who knows this state better than you ever hope to. Let me know when you get a RB coaching job in the SEC.
quote:Maybe you don't understand, but you went entirely off on how Berry and Lindsey are "scat backs" or whatever and Simon was an every down back because he weighed a whopping 5-13 pounds more than either.
1 I’m not sure you know what a tangent is, or means

2. Size matters. It dictates your playing style. You want the alluring HS speed back, then want to project and add 25lbs to him, and expect him to be the same guy is just kinda ignorant.
Less than 15 pounds between the 3 of them. You act like Berry and Lindsey are Trindon Holliday while Simon is Leonard Fournette. Thats most definitely NOT the case here

I think what you're missing here is these are football players who arent exactly focusing on track. They are football players running track in the offseason.
It's like a really fast 40 at the combine like say a 4.27 and you go back to high school to that guy and they ran like an 10.9 in track or something in the 100. When they focus on running something like the 40 at the combine things can change quick
