It's a shite show. We applied and were eligible but didn't receive the funds. Received an email stating that there were 40k students that applied and they only had funds available for 6k...so 15% were able to get the "scholarship". I'm sure like everything else with LA goes, the people who know someone got the funds. 15% is ridiculous. Still sending my kid to private school though because the public schools here suck so bad.

Best mattress out there is a Tempurpedic Luxe Breeze. Cooling cover, you can unzip it and wash the cover. Will last well after the 10 yr warranty; probably 20 years. The technology they use is head and shoulders over any other mattress. The material they use for their foam was actually developed for use by NASA; it’s way better than memory foam, it’s all based on temperature control and pressure relief.
Stearns and Foster is a great mattress as well. All hand made and they’re probably the oldest mattress company around. They have a cooling cover on theirs as well.
