And if he was saying this as late as the 1950s I can only imagine what the creoles were saying 90 years before, right after the civil war.

This is not true. some Cajuns settled in Nola or surrounding area

Also St. Landry, Iberia, St. Martin parishes are full of Creoles(those who's ancestors didn't come from Nova Scotia). Bunch of Creoles in Avoyelles also

Also SW LA - which consist of Jeff Davis, and Calcasieu, and Allen parishes isn't really that Cajun

Cameron, Vermillion, Acadia, and Evangeline are. Lafayette Parish also has lot of Cajun last names
