what type of school do you think would hire Brian Kelly as their HC?
some old Big Ten West school on Northeastern ACC school

No leaks = no progress.
not true
And they only leak names to gauge fan reaction at the very end of the search so like in 3-5 weeks
If you read someone in media connected like Shea dixon and his hotboard you get some kind of since of direction they way they are heading and the people actually being considered
re: Why is this so much messier than when A&M fired Jimbo?

They fired him the Sunday after a win. He got his $73M. There was no bad mouthing.
It wasn't as nationally broadcast but you don't follow A&M that closely
There were politicians in Texas and people at A&M that made public statements about spending that much money to fire their coach
Also they had a fan revolt when they were about to hire Mark Stoops

Could be they are leaving some on purpose
No
The combines are more efficient but the yields are much higher so even it they are leaving less than 1% of the ground there is still plenty of crop left out there

Chavis had higher ranked defenses than all of Aranda's except one
That 2019 was a good not great defense

He wants to.
Not true. I know someone who talks directly to Wade every couple of weeks
He likes NC state and their commitment to basketball
LSU would have to up their basketball spending by a whole lot for him to even entertain it

Hartline makes no sense to me. I'd rather take a chance on Golesh or Morris, who actually have head coaching experience and have recruited the south extensivel
Well good thing LSU has a guy on their recruiting staff that came directly from Ohio St that can give the lowdown on what they think of Hartline

People forgetting Hartline had play calling duties stripped from him not too long ago.
This is not true
Day changed his mind about calling plays before the season because he wasn't ready to give it up yet
This info is from people at Ohio st on staff

Kiffin, who isn't even as good as people are making him out to be, and who may very well stay in Oxford, and then a huge gap in terms of coaching prospects.
I agree on Kiffin but most of all the candidates mentioned could do just as good or better than Kiffin here and alll could do better than Kelly
They all have potential, its just finding the right one with the most potential and giving them the right resources
Nobody knows how good this hire will be in the next 2 months

don’t know what the end may hold for the ole miss offense but since 2019 they look like the closest to them
The 2019 offense would have 35 on sure right now
This ole Miss offense isn’t as good as our 2023 offense

Neither LSU or A&M payed the buyout of either coach and the university paid 2% of Kelly's yearly contract

yea he's not choosing the AD, he's just choosing the President who he knows will bring in an AD who won't go against him

Alabama and A&M didn't hire coaches that cycle
A&M only ended up with a good hire because their fans revolted over Stoops

So the alternate reality is we get Napier. Not being in the playoffs and "elite" has sucked for the last 4 years, but its damn sure better than being a UF fan has
Napier would've done as good if not better than Kelly here
LSU has/had better infrastructure than Florida, Woodward for all his faults would have provided more resources
Napier was already recruiting LA and would have kept Raymond and hired a better DC
Napier also would have worked 5x harder than Kelly

Dan Lanning - he should have at least been interviewed
