Click the link above for the “difference between creoles and Cajuns” (and it also goes into detail about all the things you have mentioned, including creoles living in southwest louisiana and Germans and Spanish)

This is taken from a book written in the 1950s by a self proclaimed Creole who wrote all about Louisiana in the book.

And if he was saying this as late as the 1950s I can only imagine what the creoles were saying 90 years before, right after the civil war.

History isn’t always so kind.

nothing in those pages proves you are right. because you are dead wrong
yea Nola elites might've called every rural person in LA "cajun" that doesn't mean it's the correct definiton of who the "creoles" and "cajuns" actually were or are today

Are your ancestors from southwest Louisiana or New Orleans? If New Orleans or the general area then you are technically Creole and not Cajun

This is actually your exact quote, if you didn't want to relate swla to cajun why did you ask if his ancestors were from there?
- so a Benoit who's family settled in Chalmette after coming from Nova Scotia is a "creole" just because they settled near Nola?
quote:

historically the rural “creoles” in southwest Louisiana were likely just considered the same as Cajuns.

Considered by a general from Indiana? Some people might've considered that but that doesn't mean its correct and the "Creoles" weren't just of French ancestry - many were Spanish and German

"if your ancestors were from Nola or surrounding area you are a creole, if from swla you are probably cajun"
This is your direct quote - no matter what some people thought of rural people, it is totally wrong
quote:

Are your ancestors from southwest Louisiana or New Orleans? If New Orleans or the general area then you are technically Creole and not Cajun

This is not true. some Cajuns settled in Nola or surrounding area

Also St. Landry, Iberia, St. Martin parishes are full of Creoles(those who's ancestors didn't come from Nova Scotia). Bunch of Creoles in Avoyelles also

Also SW LA - which consist of Jeff Davis, and Calcasieu, and Allen parishes isn't really that Cajun

Cameron, Vermillion, Acadia, and Evangeline are. Lafayette Parish also has lot of Cajun last names

What should the price be?

With the current market volume being caught compared to current demand what should the price be right now? wholesale and retail

This is totally wrong - mid South is a term used in ag consisting of the delta regions of LA, Miss, Ark, Tenn, Missouri boothill

Just because the implementation was bad or it didn't work this time doesn't mean it's not the right move in general

So in your opinion since WWII what were the bad interventions?
This what be a great time to privatize airport security and get rid of TSA completely - they've never stopped a documented terrorist attack in their history and fail pretty much every test

But congress doesn't have the balls to do that

this is not what takes power in these countries - its just more US friendly authoritarian regimes - which is not necessarily bad
some groups of humans are incapable of having a democratic society

Also can you admit not every US intervention or the way the intervention was orchestrated is not good?

these amounts are a drop in the bucket compared to ss and medicare

I don't think you appreciate the scale of SS spending. Those things you listed are nothing in comparison

yea these guys always preach about frugal spending and balanced govt budget but cutting ss and medicare is literally the only way the govt can balance the budget

At least its looking like medicare advantage will get cut where boomers can't use it to pay for massages, and gym memberships

Boomer communism is running rampant in this country but the fricksticks on here have their head buried in the sand

So were they not allowed to vote when GWB wanted to reform it? But they knew it wouldn't run out by the time they collected so they were against it then they fiscally bankrupted this country a few years later - then 12 years after that they perpetuated one of the worst human rights disasters in history

yea but continued it to the point of it breaking when it could have been reformed

They've been in power since the late 80s and haven't done jack shite

If it was never brought up for a vote, how could they have reformed it?

I'm talking about boomers also. the govt has seen this coming for over 25 years. There were plenty of politicians who brought up reform that were portrayed as "stealing old people's money"
quote:

, just like us were forced into that crap program.

They weren't forced - they could've reformed it or voted to do away with it

Need pull themselves up by bootstraps and deal with it
