I can’t wait until college football comes crashing down and these little shits have no more games to play like this. NIL and the portal had made me start halfway wishing schools by and large will just shut down programs. Then the players that wanted so bad to get paid have nowhere to go at all.

It honestly might be better for society

You keep using that word “committed.” I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Half of LSU’s 2026 commits have said they are still “open”

That same statement probably applies to 99% of college football players today. They’re all committed to the highest bidder

He could commit, sign his name in blood, and swear on his dead grandma while getting a Auburn Tattoo on his arm.

I still wouldn't be confident he'd play a snap at Auburn with the way NIL works.

I gave up following recruiting (which was fun) now…you get a commit until 2-3 days before signing day. He will say “respect my discussion” “Gods plan” blah blah crap. Recruiting season now begins a week before early signing day.

I don't even bother following high school recruiting anymore. Whatever. Whoever shows up, shows up. Used to be fun to follow. Now it's stupid.

All of everyone’s commits are still open. Someone willing to pay more money is all it takes.
