Why would we care that you got a tight end that we didn't want? We're tight end U. We don't settle for 3 stars that don't compete at camps.

Mizzou all excited about getting 3* rated Georgia recruits.

Geez what took you so long?

Congrats, you have finally joined just about every other decent team in the SouthEast. See that's what happens when your state is a hotbed of football talent. It boils over to a boatload of programs.

Ya noob idgits.

No one just comes into a whole different state and just lands multiple 5* recruits off the bat. Its a long process where you create a pipeline, and work your way up the ladder in terms of how skilled the recruits are. I think you're missing the point that we are not bragging about the 3* recruit, were saying that we are invading your state and recruiting grounds and stealing athletes. This is the start.

OP Title Reads

quote:

Georgia star high school recruits choosing Mizzou over Georgia, Florida, SCar

Article title reads

quote:

North Gwinnett TE commits to Missouri over Florida and Vandy

The article says we offered him late but the rivals doesn't even have us listed as showing interest and UGA didn't even offer him. Please rename title appropriately OP.

Considering we just took a 3 star with high upside and a 4star tight end do you honestly think UGA gives a shite about a 3 star that visited 5 times and the fact that we lead for another 4 star this year. I don't get why you think we give a shite. This is laughable.

Did Nate Brown and Tavon Ross have Georgia offers this time last year? Those were two players Mizzou got on early, and by the time they blew up it was too late for Georgia.

Well, your enthusiasm that your school is finally doing what about 15 other schools have already been doing for decades is cute.

This is actually good news for UGA. If you are poaching recruits it's more likely you'll be poaching them from Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, etc.

So thanks!

This can't be a serious thread.

The kids that UGA gets would never consider Mizzou and the kids from Georgia that commit to Mizzou weren't getting much interest from UGA anyway.

They're not "star recruits" to UGA.

They did not. Nate Brown had missed his Jr season and Ross had bad grades. Those risks seem to have paid off for Mizzou, but those are risks you don't take in UGA's position.

Georgia already took an in state 3-star TE in their '14 class. Their quota is full.

By the way, at 6-4 220, he is probably going to be a big, slow WR (which is where most of the H.S. footage I've seen of him has him playing) or he is going to need to eat a lot of biscuits and gravy to be a TE.

And the guy we took has huge upside. Hunter Atkinson will probably end up being the steal of our 2014 class. Blazevich is a more polished receiver but here is the reason why I really like Hunter Atkinson.

Weird. Never heard of this cat, he's not listed on the target list on Scout for UF and there's been no mention of him on 247 for UF.

Congrats on the steal of someone UF didn't really want I guess. Looks to be a fallback. If he gets a real better offer then he'll go elsewhere.
