Someone on another board said he sent it in with the name Mike Hunt on it.

Another said it was either Sum Ding Wong or Way Tu Low.

UGA 247 saying UGA submitted it. If that’s the case then signs point to Evans having cold feet. Guess we’ll find out if he enrolls or ends up in the portal.

My source tells me that this was the plan all along to get Kirby to waste a spot.

How do you know for a fact after he submitted he immediately tried to get out of it?

Nobody has any sources. The stuff being spewed is BS and only Evans and Smart, and a few other people know what's going on.

From 247
Is the school (Georgia as a example here) deciding what to do here? Maybe they are trying to do their due dilgence on the situation on the state championship weekend or something else? I am just thinking out loud here. The kid apologized to some coach, for something on TV at Under Armour. He confirmed he talked with Kirby Smart a few days earlier.

You can guarantee here that he may not be talking to other schools (I would bet a large amount he is however), but someone close to him can be and that part is how you get around all of this. Almost like a coach saying he has not talk to a school when a job is open, but his agent has been. Different ways to handle that loophole.

Evans could simply be asking out of LOI (If Georgia). If that is scenerio is true, I could see that part as well.

Regardless, there is something going on behind the scenes one way or another , there is a hang up on why this is not over.

My guess is he does not end up in Athens is my gut feeling. I would say LSU or Texas AM if I had to pick one with my job depending on it.

Mansell: My thoughts on Zach Evans (Part 1)

Did confirm with multiple sources in the last 24 hours that the school that Zachary Evans signed with turned in his LOI. I do believe that is Georgia if you are asking me.

Can he get out of an LOI? Yes he could but the deal is here is team he signed with holds all the leverage for the time being. So there is two ways to look at this. . . (Part 2 above)

Burton has now tweeted that he was, in fact, wrong.

Why would you think he is lying. A lot of people think Evans will be nothing but a distraction and a headache.

And he might be, who knows? Most of us are thinking he might be, but also might be worth the trouble.

If he goes somewhere else our fans will be coming out of the woodwork talking about his being a head case and not worth the trouble and glad he went somewhere else etc. It's the way recruiting goes.

So is he trying to get out of LOI or trying to get UGA to accept LOI? Non-submitted LOI isn’t binding, right?

If he signed a NLI to UGA, then UGA was the one that sent it to him. It has to come from the college before a recruit can sign it.

This kid is going to be a cancer to someones locker room for the next 3 or 4 years. I sure hope it's not LSU. He has trouble written all over him.

Sorry but I just don’t see this kid panning out.

Yea, I'm not sure he is a good fit with our team. He have already had enough problem players over the years. I hope the kid gets his head screwed on straight regardless.

What are the chances all his top schools have just decided he’s more trouble than he’s worth. I’ve read he punched the NShore coach before the championship game (probably not true). That he refused to hand his phone in before the game. It’s a fact that he’s been suspended 4x. No secret he wants to play in Athens but based on kirby’s “disease” postgame presser about players getting too full of themselves and that Saban pulled his offer a while ago isn’t it possible Coach O and Jimbo did likewise? Maybe he has to play Juco to prove he’s not a locker room cancer? All that talent. It’s a shame - seems like he’s his own worst enemy.
