Yea, Bundy heard that he is a silent to Ole Miss, so we'll see... Would really love to have him. I think us hiring Stoops would help out a lot in the end.

Which Stoops are you saying is a done deal?
Posted on 12/25/11 at 9:44 pm to gatordmb89
None of them
Big IF there...

Mark is the one with interest, correct?
Posted on 12/25/11 at 9:48 pm to gatordmb89
Yes, the one that currently coaches defense at FSU...

I'm friggin hoping that happens. It would probably almost lock up Fowler to UF. There's already talk that the switch is going to take place on NSD, but if Stoops bolts, it would make losing JJ a lot easier on UF fans, if we could land Fowler.

Me too, without a doubt...
Many close to Auburn think that he will be named our DC after the bowl game, but who.knows?

Don't you mean JLee?

No...
Justin Hoke and Jeff Lee have been hinting that people close to the program and saying he'll be hired after the bowl game. If it was just Jeff Lee, I would have totally overlooked it. I find it hard to actually trust what he says these days.

If Lutz actually does go NFL, who plays TE and Hback next year? Fulse will be good, but need someone else to contribute.
Posted on 12/27/11 at 9:49 am to AU13
DaDa and Uzomah could if needed. Also, with Parks and Hutcherson coming in, there will be depth. I strongly doubt Lutz declares though.

Lutz is not goin pro untl he graduates. That is a major factor for his family...to get his degree.

Lutz will be here for another year then between fulse, uzomah, parks, and hutcherson we should be absolutely loaded at TE.

Shouldn't have to worry about that until his eligibility is up. Most TEs don't go high in the draft, and he doesn't strike me as a kid who is dumb enough to leave to be a 3rd or 4th rounder just to be in the NFL a year early.

and he may need surgey after the season on his knee.

This draft class is pretty weak on TEs, weaker if you break it down to pro style TEs.
He has something to think about, I'd wait to find out what offense Auburn will be running next year. If they stick to a spread that under-utilizes the TE, his stock won't budge. If they actually move to a pro set, he'll be the top TE drafted in 2013 IF some other current Juniors take advantage of the weak class...

*Update on Stefon Diggs*

It's hard to believe that one assistant coach can make such a giant change in one young man's mind, but that's apparently what happened when offensive coordinator Charlie Weis left Florida for the head coaching gig at Kansas. After UF being a huge player to the point that Diggs' mom visited the school with Jelani Jenkins' parents, Diggs is now saying he's not even sure if he will take an official visit to the school or if the Gators are still among his list of favorites. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Gators climb back in in a major way, but it will take some serious work after the dead period ends.

NOW'S OUR CHANCE!

Hope that's true, and we can hold off some other schools.
