Allegedly TT is upset that when he put in his name for the OC position, he was basically told that at this time Auburn was looking for a proven OC, and that they needed him to focus on recruiting/coaching up the WRs for next season.
There is no way he said anything to Yeldon to convince him to flip to Bama.

That doesn't surprise me if that were true. TT needs to realize he doesn't have the game planning skills to be an OC yet. He is pretty much worthless when it comes to watching film.Good position coach and outstanding recruiter, those are what he can do. This is coming from a coach that use to have TT on his staff.

I find this very hard to believe. Who would hire a coach that stabbed their former employer in the back like that? Sounds like professional suicide.
Meet Todd Graham who probably would give TT an extra 25K if he left Auburn doing that.

Haven't seen or heard that anywhere else...

Not saying trooper isn't leaving, because I know he has feelers out to A&M, Miami, and UNC. However, I see 2 issues with this scenario as presented on previous page:
1) graham and gus are friends. Gus doesnt like troop. Seems like a phone call to gus wld prevent an offer if graham had interest in trooper (unless he just needs a hired recruiting gun at asu)
2) if this were true & known in au I cant imagine chiz wld let him stay another day. If it is true & chiz knows and lets him stay for the $50k you'd have to ask why
Most who know me know what I think about trooper. I know AU wouldnt be upset if he left, but there is no way they'd let him stick around for $50k IF the TJY part were true

I've seen a lot of stupid things on this site but this takes the cake.

Yeldon has been flirting with Bama for a while now, and it had nothing to do with Trooper Taylor. I know every fanbase wants a whipping boy, but losing Yeldon wasn't Trooper's fault.

How do you always have so much inside info on Auburn? He may very well be leaving but a lot of the BOL conspiracy shite is hilarious.
I'm not taking a shot at you, I just feel like this stuff i being made up on bama message boards.

Bamasgot13 has a lot of connections. His info is right way more often than not. He's also not some crazy conspiracy theorist from BOL...

From JaQuay Williams:
quote:
"I'm not planning on going anywhere else unless something crazy, crazy happens like coach (Gene) Chizik or coach Trooper (Taylor) leaves. But still, I still probably wouldn't leave because I love Auburn so much. I fell in love with Auburn, I didn't fall in love with an offensive coordinator."
Williams said pressure isn't what caused him to make his first public comments in weeks, saying the constant rumors have been "annoying" more than anything else.
"I'm 100 percent committed to Auburn, that's my message right there. I want to get that out," Williams said. "I'm tired of people posting on websites saying I'm decommitted and all these Alabama fans going crazy. I'm tired of it."

That's nice to see. JaQuay is gonna be a stud, we need to hold on to him

Like I said earlier, I just heard it from someone who has this far given me accurate information. It is kinda out there, but at least half of it will be verifiable if Troop ends up at ASU or not.

Alright, I'm going to try to breakdown the remaining prospects that we are SERIOUSLY after...
(everything is based on what I've read on several websites)
1) Leonard Williams - 2 horse race, Auburn versus Florida. At this time, I believe we lead after reading various updates.
2) Stefon Diggs - Starting to be considered a 2 horse race with Auburn and Florida, again... I give us the advantage since Florida lost CW, and he really loved CW. When we hire Blake Anderson, we should sell him some more.
3) Eddie Goldman - Have seen that it's a 2 horse race with Auburn and FSU, but I don't believe that. I think it's: 1a. FSU 1b. Bama 3. Auburn
4) Deon Bush - Auburn leads, with Miami is 2nd place from what I've seen. He's a must get for us.
5) Channing Ward - He has Auburn and Ole Miss at the top, with Bama and LSU far from the lead in 3rd and 4th. Supposedly, he has already chosen his college choice and will announce at the Army game.
6) Avery Young - Has Auburn and Georgia as 1 and 2, but no idea who he has #1. He named us #1 a while back when he visited, but we'll see. It's hard to get a read on him. He will decide on NSD due to coaching changes. That sounds good for Auburn, IMO.
7) Menelik Watson - Pretty much all Auburn right now, with FSU in second from what I've seen. He will visit FSU on an OV a little later, so maybe Auburn can hold them off in the end.
8) Ronald Darby - Committed to ND, but really loves Auburn. I can't see him switching unless we really go after him hard from not landing a guy like Deon Bush.
9) Arik Armstead - Really likes Cal from what I hear, but will visit Auburn when an OC is hired. We will probably get the last chance to impress him.
10) TJ Yeldon - My personal belief is that he will stay solid to Alabama. The only chance I see us having is if he really loves Blake Anderson's offense. That being said, meh, no chance...

What happened to taking a break from recruiting?
Oh and Ward will announce at the UA game, not Army
ETA: Kwon Alexander should be on that list instead of TJ

This is why I even saw your comment. I was coming to edit my post. I was going to put Kwon at 75% choosing Auburn in the end.
ETA: What do you think about Ward?

I don't agree on Diggs at all. He has way more connections to UF and both teams lost their OC. Both teams kept their WR coaches. Neither AU or UF has an advantage, and like I stated, UVA is in the mix as well. Combining that with some of the information I gave in the other thread, I feel like UF is still the team to beat.

Don't have a good read at all. If I had to guess, Ole Miss may lead. But it's either them or Auburn IYAM
