Georgia - 7
Clemson - 5
USC - 4
Ohio State - 3
Penn State - 3
Alabama - 2
Texas - 2
LSU - 1
Miami - 1
Oklahoma - 1

Ultimately it doesn't mean much if those guys don't develop and get coached up. UGA definitely killed it on the recruiting trail. UGA + Clemson signed almost half of the 247 five stars in the country.

Athens being the best college town and the state being such a hotbed for recruiting, this was bound to happen once we started cheating more when richt left.

You mean once our AD and School got behind the coach and gave him the resources to compete with everyone else.

does it really matter. They loaded up where they have the greatest need. All they have to do is block a little, and that qb will do the rest.

Somebody at UGA stepped up their game, and it was about damn time.

UGA absolutely dominated in recruiting, my goodness. Clemson killed it as well. Is this the first time in a while Bama wont finish top 5 in recruiting? Although I seriously doubt thats a big deal for them.

Sort of...

If hurts wants to transfer, they are going to be very thin at QB but based on them not pushing for Foster or Purdy, I imagine they aren't worried.

They are lacking some DT depth though, I feel like they'd be more comfortable with 1 more DT in this class.

Bama's been #1 every year since 2011 if I recall.

Maybe it's their the deep bench, or maybe Saban's age is creeping into the equation. Or maybe their bagmen just got out worked this year. Who knows?

Pretty much. That's why Saban sent them packing and hired some new ones. Expect a rebound in recruiting next year.

I'm going with the bagmen slack assing in their duties.

Comes from having to pay off the committee members and the refs. Those two extra games they played this year took them deeper in their pockets than usual.

Nah. Bama has budgeted for those two extra games since the playoffs were announced. It's been needed every year but one.

But still number one in ref recruiting. Last year they flipped a big 10 crew.
