It’s not trolling. He’s expected to flip to LSU

Scouting Report

quote:

Owns a stocky, muscled build. Compact runner with high-end speed as evidenced by his track times and breakaway ability on the field. Played just three games as a junior prior to sustaining a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee. Was off to a quick start prior to that injury, averaging close to 10 yards per carry. We'll be looking to see how he recovers as a senior and if he not only maintains, but continues to improve on the skill set he showed as an underclassman. At his best, Goodwin is a versatile offensive weapon with the ability to rip off long gains by using his speed and compact build to run through contact. Projects as a Power Five starter with the potential to develop into a NFL Draft pick.

I would be surprised if Armoni flips. He's an AU fan since he was a kid. LSU has picked up recruiting of him. I'd still say it's 80+ % he sticks with AU. He's friends with my son.

But if you want an idea. Think of kind of like Tre Mason with break away speed. Super strong lower body and can break and bounce off tacklers.

All I have seen was "LSU is giving him something to think about" nothing more.

Goodwin says he'll stick with his commitment to Auburn and just wants to take some visits.

Hewitt-Trussville running back Armoni Goodwin talked to Alabama coach Nick Saban earlier today and received an offer from the Crimson Tide.

What did it mean to the rising senior?

“It’s big, but … I’m still going to Auburn,” Goodwin told AL.com.

He said Thursday nothing has changed.

“I talk to coach Cadillac (Auburn RB coach Carnell Williams) all the time,” he said. “I’m excited to get down there. I’ve talked to coach (Chad) Morris, the new OC, and I like what he has told me. He said they are going to give me the ball.”
