Walter Football

quote:

These rankings have been compiled after sifting through well over 2,000 names and even more video clips and highlight reels of the best high school football players in the country. The are the current rankings but they aren’t the final rankings and they will be updated periodically. We will continue to review film, attend showcases, camps and games to make sure we have the most honest, accurate results with each class.

They seem to be a little slow in updating Top 5 lists and commitments, but adding some fresh perspective in an industry dominated by 3 other entities can't hurt.

I wonder if 247 will add them to their Composite formula moving forward?

Probably not any time soon. I cant see how walterfootball has the manpower to even come close to trying to rank all these kids. But hey, I bet it will create a ton more site traffic which is the intended purpose.

Recruiting rankings are like time. Both are man made concepts enforced to uphold structure.

Little slow for sure. Fleming committed a week ago tomorrow for example. Just the first name I saw that I knew had committed somewhat recently.

They will need to invest a TON more to make this usable. They have Gee Scott on the national top 100 list as committed to OSU but on the WR page it says he is still "open".

I'll co-sign on them giving us 2 DTs in the top 100.

Going to be tough to consider adding them to the composite formula until they start updating players’ commitments more than once a month.

I don't mind their NFL draft evals. They seem on par with all of the other "expert" guesswork.

This would be a logical step for them.

Yeah, if it wasn't apparent, my comment above was largely facetious. It's a start for them, but they're a long way from usable... even by ESPN recruiting standards.

The GUI is borderline unusable for me on mobile. Not hating their hustle, but they need a QA guy to review UI/UX or more testing from their developer before releasing this to production.

*Edit: played around with it a bit more -- The interface just looks/feels low budget. User experience isn't as bad as I initially thought.
