Ok I hadn't seen that quote, but I still wonder about it since he wasn't even scheduled to go to LSU this weekend. He was scheduled to visit OSU and that just got cancelled yesterday. His OV to LSU was scheduled for the 21st, so if he cancelled that, then it has nothing to do with the white house trip.

I know. That's what we all thought too. It's very confusing.

GT vs UF.
Most seem to feel he sticks with GT in the end.

UF keeps having RBs OV during these last days of the class. Should tell you how they feel about Gibbs flipping. I do believe he stays close to home with GT.

I've felt confident he would stay at GT when he didn't decommit after the OSU offer + big push a couple months back.
Whatever you think of OSU, they have been a RB factory the last few years and are an annual playoff near-lock. It would have been very easy for him to decommit to "consider his options" including a possible return to GT. Him staying committed tells me he's about 99% certain that's where he's going. Really happy for Collins - he's a damn good coach and that team needs the talent.

Agree! Coach Collins has done a great job recruiting. It’s about damn time. He makes no excuses for GT being tough academically. The previous staff used it as a crutch for average recruiting. Glad to see a staff using it as a positive and it seems to be working.

GT fans posting in a SEC site and trying to convince themselves how great their recruiting is

Well when you average 50th in recruiting and in one year go to top 25 it’s pretty damn exciting. Also I didn’t start this thread.

Didn't LSU already pick up their running back a week or so ago?

Maybe. He has great film but didn't really wow at the AA game. Going to Tech isn't going to help his rise to stardom either.
