6-foot-6, 348-pound offensive lineman from Houston

George's current teammate, Zach Evans, is the nation’s No. 1 running back prospect. Evans recently announced Alabama was in his group of finalists.

Long way off for both of them to sign but a good start nonetheless. Kids talk about package deals all the time and it usually has no affect in the end

it's very rare that one player commits somewhere just because his high school teammate does.

if it was truly a package deal, then they would announce together or in close proximity. Don't see Evans announcing anytime soon.

These package deals hardly ever work out. I just think the kid ends up at UGA. Bama just landed Trey Sanders. UGA is prime to grab a big back this year.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they got Milton though.

it's basically a throw away scholarship to land Evans.

Thanks for clearing that up. Please forward this to Saban, Flood, and Sarkisian so they can pull the scholarship.

A four star tackle? That retarded if you truly think that.

George is not a 4 star, hes a 3 star
LINK /

247 themselves dropped him a ton, hes had a very bad spring, out of shape and way overweight, ran a 6+ second 40.

Hes got a lot of work to do, pretty clear this is a play for Evans.

Bama must want Evans bad. George is a mega project and doubt he would normally be a take for them or any high recruiting program. Not sure where he’s a 4 Star

He got completely wrecked in the state championship game against Duncanville. Might be more of a guard.

Sometimes these behemoths who aren't particularly athletic or even good at football end up being solid in college because they're so big that they can just take up space and screen their guy, even if their feet are terrible and they don't bend enough to drive their guy

For that reason I'm not writing him off, but usually the guys who come in more athletic needing to add weight end up being better than the guys who show up at 350 needing to shed 30 pounds

As a Texas fan this gives us a chance to go after someone like Karic. I wish Texas would have went after Nate Anderson early, he's a stud.

BOL is saying he was recruited as a Guard.

Alabama landed three OTs that were ranked in the Top 50 overall last year so taking on a project isn't that big of a deal. Especially if he helps us land Evans.
