Really athletic and rangy kid who Ole Miss wants to play at our OLB/S hybrid spot. Moved to quarterback this year so he only plays defense if the team needs to clamp down something but ran for 285 yards in his game last week.
Ole Miss should get a couple of commits over the next week or so.

Has a lot of offers, some of which are decent schools (us, Baylor, Oklahoma State, etc). Good to see us back on the trail.

I hadn't seen his name on the board, but I think we only have one spot left anyways.

His name/spot came off the board when Crook committed to the staff back in July.

Arkansas was on him at one point, cooled off after another commit. Probably didn’t have a spot left for them. He’ll be a project but should/could develop into a good, lengthy safety/backer hybrid

Yea our HS recruiting class ended with Anthony Brown committing Sept 14th unless we add a punter.
Pitt put Warren Thompson on scholarship during fall camp so he counts in the 2022 class and any other spots we have will go toward portal guys.

Our thoughts as well but here we are. They’re keeping the rest of the spots open for transfers. I imagine we’ll jump back in the mix somewhere though if they pass that expanded recruiting class.

Yeah we counted forward 3 blueshirt spots to this class from transfers that came in after last season, are saving about 3 spots for transfers after this season, and are using a scholarship on a punter and a long snapper in this class. So that’s 8 spots accounted for before even getting to high school offense/defense players. We aren’t even taking a QB in this class either.

I’m hoping we can have a really good 2023 class. We have 3 good pick ups early. Sams a great recruiter but covid and Arkansas last few years hampered things. A few quality wins should help in 23.

That seems extremely dumb. People break out in their senior year all the time. What if better players become interested in Arkansas too? Pittman just not going to take them?

Probably not. Some of our fans wish we would process some guys but Pittman is pretty adamant about finding guys that really want to be here and don’t suddenly have interest in us just because we’re winning. I’m sure if it was a 5* or something he’d make an exception lol
