BIG PICKUP.. can play RT(if ready) next year and then move to LT the next year when Banks heads to the draft

I still can't believe they gave us the red carpet to the SEC & the green light to leverage our financial resources to their full potential.
Not sure if Texas is back yet, but I'm certain it won't be long.

HUGE! He can spend a year learning from Banks and then step right in.

He's a RT, Trevor Goosby is the future LT.

The rest of the SEC is in for a very rude come to Jesus realization. I was all for Texass joining the SEC but NIL wasn’t factored in at the time for the SEC.
The NIL really does slant the playing field dramatically … even in the SEC. Fellow SEC teams and fans don’t quite get it yet.
I don’t like current NIL but Ags will be fine with it. Just about every team in SEC will be moving down a notch or two in recruiting.

Haven’t watched him play, but how can the nation’s #1 OT be considered a future RT?

Obviously he could potentially play LT but he plays RT now at Mater Dei and the staff likes him there. I've also heard Flood loves Goosby as the future LT for 2025, especially after getting another year of experience in 2024. Plenty of stud OT's play on the right side in the NFL, I wouldn't read too much into it.

Good news on Goosby, and I trust this staff’s evals. Just goes to show how the hybrid guys are changing who is slotted where.

NIL isn't going to remain under these guidelines much longer. Too many are not in favor of the current model. The sport will die a quick and painful death at this current pace.

He's the best OT, but his build and skill set project as a RT in college and definitely so if he were to make it to the NFL, which he is reasonably expecting and preparing for.

Texas going to be like the Yankees buying all the top talent including Louisiana top talent. Unless something is done with NIL teams like LSU, Tenn , and even bama are going to have a hard time paying what TX/TX am are going to be paying for top players.

Tennessee actually has a solid NIL game.
I'll enjoy the benefits of the current NIL landscape, but I sincerely want some regulation for the best interest of the game and big picture.
It's bad enough that some tier 2 & 3 schools are basically the Oakland A's & old Montreal Expos in developing talent for others to capitalize on, but you can't have 8-10 programs running with a budget that dwarfs the entire field.

The Aggies thought the same thing and have remained at the bottom which is exactly where Texas will be too.
I don’t know how so many of you delusional Texas fans think you’re going to be somebody when you’ve never been anything in the Big 12 for well
Over a decade and most importantly WHEN YOU DONT HAVE A frickING COACH THAT CAN WIN 10 GAMES. He’s awful lol

It hasn’t worked AT all for 5&7 and Sark is probably a worse coach than Dumbo. I don’t care how much talent you have your not winning with a slap dick coach.

Regardless, this has been a pretty great melt.

I'm a Texas alum with 2 kids at LSU. Completely agree with this post. NIL landscape is a significant advantage to UT but I don't necessarily like the uneven landscape. 100% for players getting paid, but at some point there has to be more regulation for competitive balance alone.
