Crazy that he turned down 12 gazillion a year to play at A&M in order to play at Alabama for free.

(I do hate that we lost that kid. I think he might be special.)

Man I wish he had stuck with A&M, I think he is going to be the best QB coming out of high school this year

Great pickup. With him, Milroe, and Ty Simpson on the same squad there are going to be some heavy duty QB battles.

Alabama knew they had no chance of getting Manning so they had to settle

This kid ran a 4.64, a 38 inch vertical and a 4.19 short shuttle?

Lol okay, kid is super athletic.

I'm just so happy we didn't get the Manning kid. I still don't see why he is rated so high besides his last name.

Don’t QBs at Alabama have a good chance to make money with NIL?

its encouraging to see a kid literally turn down millions of dollars to commit to a school who does it the right way and play for a coach who has literally never broken a single rule and just wants honest to christ parity in the sport

Not a bad decision by him. A&m has three quarterbacks ahead of him.

Right now we are feeling really good about Manning, along with Texas. That said, many also believe he is not the best QB this cycle. We think he will be very, very good, but his true value will come from the peripheral players he can attract.

Holstein is a great pickup and will do exceptionally well at Alabama. They continue to pull top players to their program and it will keep them at or near the top for many years to come. It will be interesting to watch Alabama and Texas A&M fight it out over in the west.

They didn't "settle". None of us know how a college kid is going to develop over the course of their college career, obviously. Too many examples of hits and misses. But Holstein has all the tools to become a great one, and Alabama has a reputation for developing QBs well.

This is true. It's a heart warming story of the little guy, full of honesty and integrity, overcoming the powerful forces of greed and dishonesty.

Holstein/Simpson is a pretty solid QB chart for 2023-2025. They are both pretty high floor guys, I think. Not sure either is Top 15 pick level, but that's ok.
