Like who?

I consider myself a bit of a long snapping expert. I'd love to hear their opinions on clockwise vs. counterclockwise spin on the ball.

I think you need to define if the specific spin is a view from the snapper of the one catching the ball. I would prefer either over a bounce or an end-over-end.

Honestly it just depends on which hemisphere you're in.

everyone knows that hemisphere only matters when the snap has to be more than 14.82 yards.

Alabama has jumped heavily into the mix with Yulee (Fla.) five-star athlete Derrick Henry. Crimson Tide running backs coach Burton Burns was in the Jacksonville area earlier this week to watch the 6-foot-3, 245-pound longtime Georgia commit.

Henry hopes to have a final decision shortly after his visit to Alabama.

“Coach Burns came by the school on Monday,” said Henry. “ He came out and watched us practice, which was real good. It was really good- I’ve talked to him on the phone before. Usually when I talk to coaches, I’ll get bored sometimes, but I don’t with Coach Burns. He tells me about the program, the plays he calls for the running backs, the players, Coach Saban, and Alabama- like what they’re trying to do this year and stuff like that.”

Henry says his communication with the Alabama staff has escalated in the last few weeks.

“It’s been intense and going on real hard. They talk to my coaches a good bit and I’ll call them every week and we'll talk and then they’ve come by the school, too.”

The five-star prospect finds several facets of Alabama’s program to be attractive, including his relationship with the staff and the Crimson Tide’s success both on the field and on draft day.

“There’s nothing not to like about Alabama, really. If you look at them the past few years and the success they’ve had with the players, as a team and then with Coach (Nick) Saban and all the success. They bring in the top recruiting classes. Being recruited by Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt- he’s so smooth. All their players go in the first round and they finish off their careers at Alabama on the right note. That means a lot to me.”

A visit to Tuscaloosa in early June is next up for the jumbo athlete, who previously visited the Capstone last November for Alabama’s first game against LSU.

“I’m going down on June 8. I’m going down to see the campus, visit with the coaches one-on-one and I’m sure we’ll have fun. I want to talk with the players and get their perspective because coaches will tell you things but it’s good to see what the players say, too. I just want to see everything there is to see and the whole nine yards.”

Henry, who has been committed to Georgia for 10 months, says his commitment to the Bulldogs isn't as strong as it once was and notes that he hopes to have a final decision shortly after his visit to Alabama.

Henry has rushed for 5,256 yards and 61 touchdowns the last two seasons at Yulee.

“I’m not as solid as I was before because I think really highly of Alabama, as you can tell. A lot of schools like Ole Miss and USC have been by showing interest. We’re hoping to go on the visit to Alabama and then see how it goes.

“As far as what’s going to happen, I can’t really say, but I want to know which college I want to go to and after the Alabama visit and then focus on getting ready for the offseason, going to the Opening, and then getting ready for the fall and my senior year. I want to go in early as a December grad, so that’s the plan for right now.”

As one of Georgia’s first commitments in the class of 2013, the Sunshine State standout has developed several close relationships with fellow Bulldog commits and current players. Will those relationships be a factor in his decision-making process?

“I don’t think so,” said Henry. “I’m sure they understand recruiting just as much as I do. I appreciate them as much as they appreciate me, but they understand how recruiting goes and how anything can happen. I’m sure they wish me the best and I wish them the best with whatever decisions we make. We all support each other.”

Henry has a grade of 98 from 247Sports and is ranked as the nation’s top athlete prospect and no.13 prospect overall.

He's ours.

So we will have:
Tyren Jones
Altee Tenpenny
Derrick Henry

and maybe Kamara?

Though I doubt Kamara would come here with those three committed.

A couple gems from the LSU Rant:

quote:

At the end of College Football Live they predicted that Alabama will be better than LSU this year and will play for the national title. They said Alabama will be DOMINANT on offense this year. Last time I checked AJ Mcarron is still their quarterback and he is nothing more than and average QB. Sounds like disrespect to me. What do you guys think of this?

quote:

I don't care if Mcarron looked good for one game. That was the only time he showed anything impressive for the entire season last year

quote:

Alabama lost Michael Dyer, and only one offensive lineman. Their QB can be improved this year and still not do well

quote:

Boy, you have one game where you throw for 6.8 yards an attempt and people anoint you the next Taylor Potts or Sonny Cumbie. 6.8 yards an attempt looks more like a Clint Moseley

quote:

Kenny Bell has done ABSOLUTELY nothing thus far in his career

quote:

Go with Clint Moseley, he had a better yards per attempt average against LSU than chesttat

quote:

Hell in 2010 when they lost a lot less (Dareus and some corners) they got popped by AU, LSU, and USCe

quote:

Also, watch for the health of Fluker's knee. Everyone's talking him up but there's some smoke there

quote:

Bama wont even beat Michigan.

Bama wont beat Arkansas.

Bama will go 9-3 and play in the so-what bowl

quote:

That studio will do its damndest to get their darlings another shot if LSU is unbeaten and Bama has one loss.

LINK

In fairness, 90% of the posts in that thread were very reasonable...but the other 10% were very entertaining. I love how the one guy cherry picks 1 stat from 1 game to conclude that Clint Mosely is a better QB than AJ

LSU fans: I know, I know, every fanbase has them.
