I would love to know if that really was a highly elaborate IRL troll or if he was serious about Auburn and just gradually ended up liking Bama more after going to Tuscaloosa a dozen times with Anderson.
From the conversations I had with him, he really did like Auburn a lot and thought that's where he fit best. But he grew up a Bama fan, and once Saban finally realized TJ was a RB and not a DB and recruited him very hard, TJ went with his heart

I just assume that all of these little punk arse teenagers are trolling at this point.
They would make excellent Tigerdroppings' posters.

Did it have anything to do with Malzahn leaving?

That, and the fact that Luper interviewed for UAB's head coaching position.

A little, but he knew Malzahn would leave this offseason or the next, so he was prepared for the change.
ETA: It really had the most to do with Bama/Ryan Anderson recruiting him so hard, and he always wanted to play at Bama

You know, eventually there will be a recruit who is a poster on here. TD is the premier southern football discussion spot and has a social networking feel sometimes. Eventually a recruit will catch on and decide to troll 1st hand.

You guys think if Travell Dixon does not contribute significantly he should and will red shirt? I know Menzie wanted to and should have because of his injury in 2010. but if he had an entire year to practice, learn the play book, and gain an entire extra year, he would be exceptional.

I wondered the same thing cajunsack, but from what I've been able to gather he's already used his redshirt. I found some conflicting information, but I think Dixon graduated high school in '08 and enrolled in Juco in '09 meaning that his 5 year window closes after the '13 season. Can anyone else confirm this.
It sucks because Fulton, Milliner, and Belue all have a redshirt available but we need them to play.

Yes, but I posted it in this thread before he posted in Auburn's thread. No more being subtle, I WANT THE CREDIT FOR THE DAMN VIDEO! IT WAS ALL ME AND NO ONE ELSE DAMNIT!!! ME ME ME ME ME ME!

It's not a 5 year window. If he, say, graduated highschool in 08', took a year off, went two years to JUCO and enrolled at UA then he still has 3 years to play 2. Brandon Weeden graduated highschool in 1957 but went back to school and played out his eligibility. That's what it's about. How many years can any academic institution allow you to play sports for them. 5 years total. He's played two at the JUCO level. He can play 3 more with a redshirt year included.

The 5 year window doesn't start when you graduate high school but it does start when you enroll in Juco or college and it doesn't matter how many years you actually participate in a sport. You could just be a student for 4 years, but you'd only have 1 year of eligibility left. You have 5 years from the point you enroll and that's it.

Oh hell yes. I'd be all about Auburn, leading their fans on and everything, telling Jeff Lee that I was 110% committed. Then I'd flip to Bama 30 minutes before the dead period started.
Oh wait....
ZOMG

Paring down the list to six was just too tough. So Josh McNeil went with a top 12.
McNeil told ESPN via text message that he was still considering only Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Miami, North Carolina State, Oregon, California, South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame and East Carolina.
The tight end from Durham (N.C.) Hillside said he will announce his decision at The Opening in July. He was selected to the event on Sunday, then chosen to play in the Under Armour All-America Game on Tuesday, despite playing only one season of high school football. McNeil previously was focused solely on basketball.
Bama bound

I can't imagine that he would spend 3 years at a JUCO unless he exhibited such a low level of dedication to academics that he would make Duron Carter look like Albert Einstein. Most kids who use their RS in JUCO do so because of an injury and enroll in a 4 year school with 3 years to play 3 seasons.

I don't know the circumstances surrounding Dixon's time in Juco, but his Juco profile lists him as a "Redshirt Sophomore": LINK
But there another link that shows him signing his LOI with Eastern Arizona on 6-10-10: LINK
Like I said, conflicting information.
Hopefully he can redshirt because it would be great to have him in '14 to help replace Milliner, Fulton, and Belue.

I'll give you some thoughts on Cody Thomas later on. I was in the air all day yesterday flying home and my son has a baseball tournament today.

When I was on rivals Geno come on there every now and then, he even called out a poster on twitter for saying he was too small.

Are you worried he may effect Howard's commitment like you were with Desean Smith? I give Mcneil credit because almost all of his favorites have another TE in the class. Definitely not afraid of competing. I like that.
