Can we just all agree that Jim Brown was awesome in one of the greatest movies of all time (The Dirty Dozen) and move on?

Cajunsuck, it might be a good idea to ease up a bit. There is no legit way to compare players from 40 years apart. Brown was a great back. Chances are he could have been a great back in any time frame. There is also a reason he is not paid to sellect players for the Browns to draft now. T Rich will make his own road and others can only watch what does happen, my guess is he will do well just as Brown did in his day.

Im just annoyed that a bitter old man would say something like that when he would easily get keyed like any running back today. The dlinemen and lbs now are not even close to what they used to be.

dont think you understand the physical specimen he was and athletic ability that he had. JB = Best RB by leaps and bounds.

Disagree completely! Jim Brown is a carbon copy of Brandon Jacobs. He would not be a HOF playing against today's players. When he played DL averaged 260lbs and LBs close to 200.

Understood but Jim Brown has been this same person for the last 20 years. He is not going to change and will always be the greatest player of all time in his own mind.

This minus Brandon Jacobs. Brown deserves a better comparison

Maybe this is a silly question but do you even know what a "carbon copy" is?

Yep, not an 20 year old college kid.

Then maybe you could explain to me how it is possible that a man born in 1936 could be a "carbon copy" of a man born in 1982?

Just attempting to establish what dream world or alternate reality you are living in.

You really want to argue semantics. Relax champ it was just me being a smart arse. Lay off the cheese and maybe you won't be so constipated.

The difference between now and Browns time is he was the only guy that could run, while being that size. Now there are 4-5 Browns in on every play the only difference is the one with the ball fumbled less in spring training and stayed at RB the others got moved to LB.
He is the best RB of all time but eventually he will be replaced, or matched.

Exactly when was the last time legit recruiting info was posted in the recruiting thread? Just curious.
