I want the my Vikes to draft Trent, then use him as bait to get more from Tampa or Cleveland...

Yes exactly... That or Minnesota unleashes an AD/Trent combo on the league and destroys every front 7 in the league.... Wishful thinking.

ZOMG.....a wishbone in Minny, or 2 RB sets would be srsly CRAZY.....If TB gets Trent (plz God) it would be close with Blount & Trent
Realistically AT, who do you want Vikes to take @ 3??

I wish Miami would get slapped with their sanctions so we can lock up Thomas and pursue some others with interest.

Next up, in our annual series updating recently signed prospects is Cyrus Jones. The Baltimore, Md. product was selected as the Gatorade player of the year in the state of Maryland after producing over 1,500 all-purpose yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior.
Name:Cyrus Jones
Position:Athlete
247Sports Ranking:75th overall, 6th ranked Athlete, 3rd in the state of Maryland
High School:Gilman(Baltimore, Md.)
Recruiter: Mike Groh
What have you been up to since signing day?
“Not much man, just enjoying the rest of my senior year. I finished up basketball and won a championship. Right now, I am running track…so that’s pretty much it right now.”
Are you using the Alabama strength and conditioning program?
“Oh yeah, definitely. I am in there everyday before track with my coaches, so that definitely keeps me busy.”
How is track season going so far?
We look pretty good...I am running the 100m and 200m; I am also on the 4x100m and 4x200m relay teams.”
What is your current height and weight?
“I am about 5’11”/190 lbs.”
When will you be arriving on campus?
“I will be arriving on campus on May 26th.”
Do you know who your roommates will be yet?
“Not sure yet. Me and Chris Black had talked about it, but I am not sure if anything is final yet.”
Other than football, what are you looking forward to doing or seeing once you get to Tuscaloosa?
“Just getting down there and building good relationships. I am just excited to get down there.”
Have you chosen a major yet?
“I have not. I’ve been thinking about majoring in business, but I am not 100% sure.”
Do you know what number you will be wearing yet?
“I am not 100% sure. I know Chris (Black) has 5 and that’s the number that I wore in high school, but there was some talk that I might still get it and Chris would switch numbers, so hopefully I get number 5.”
Is the plan still for you to play wide receiver this year?
“Right now, I am playing slot receiver and just seeing how it goes. I think I can make a real impact on the offensive side of the ball. If it doesn’t go like I think it will, then Coach Saban and I discussed where I can just hop over to the defensive side, where I think I am just as good. I just decided to go with my heart and doing what I love most and that is with the ball in my hands.”
What are your expectations going into your freshman year with the Crimson Tide?
“I just want to get on the field in any capacity I can. I just want to go out there and play my game, show what I bring to the table and help my team in any way possible and compete. I think I can compete with anybody and do well on any stage. I am just ready to get down there and get to work.”
Who are the players that you model your playing style after?
“On defense, I would definitely have to say Champ Bailey and Ed Reed. On offense, I like Steve Smith and DeSean Jackson.”
What were your thoughts on the A-Day game?
“I think we have a chance to be really good this year…we got a lot of young guys. Everybody has got to come out and step up. It’s going to be a tough task, but I think, as long as we work together, we can do something special again this year.”
What was the experience at the Under Armour All-American game like for you?
“It was awesome. Just getting a chance to be among the best players in the country and get real personal with them and compete and see how you stack up against the best…It was said down there a lot, that this is like our first college game, because everyone is the best where they come from and everybody just wanted to jump in there and show what they bring to the table. It was a great atmosphere.”
How do your friends and classmates feel about you coming down to Alabama from Maryland?
“They are excited for me. They just want to see me come down there and do what I have been doing my whole life up here (in Maryland). It has just been great support from everyone up here… I was in Pennsylvania recently, walking through a parking lot and someone knew who I was because I am going to Alabama, so that was a great feeling knowing that we a support all over the world.”
Do you want to help recruit more guys from the Maryland?
“Definitely. Anytime they have a guy from where I am from, that is interested in Alabama, I am going to make a push to try and get them. Honestly, I chose Alabama for a reason, I believe they are going to help me get where I want to go, so any time that I can help someone else make the right decision, I am going to do that.”
What is your favorite food?
“My favorite food is definitely pizza.”
What is your favorite movie?
“I would have to say,Love and Basketball.”
What is your favorite video game?
“NCAA Football.”
What is your dream car?
“My dream car is a Bentley Flying Spur.”

I've thought about it a lot, and logically it's Kalil.... If Claiborne had the athleticism of PP21, I would choose him. But alas not to be.

I agree, as high as people have Mo listed I think he will be a bust, he is a one trick pony CB with little to no tackling skill especially in run support, and that is ok with his coverage skills if you are a faster guy, like elite speed, but he's not, as a top 10 CB, I want a more rounded CB

Claiborne tackles very well. I can see some of the other arguments but he's a very good tackler. Just didn't have to do a lot of it at LSU. He gets criticized by people for not being the athlete that Peterson is because they went to the same school. Terrible line of thinking. There aren't many people in the world that are as good an athlete as Peterson. He's a freak of nature. Claiborne is a much better cover guy right now even with Peterson playing a year in the NFL. Claiborne has everything a corner needs for the NFl. Top notch cover skills, good speed and athleticism, smarts and he's physical. What else is there? He's got Asamouga/Champ Bailey the last few years type skills. If that's a bust then I'll take it.
Stephon Gilmore is the big bust CB in this draft. Wasn't very good in college and is being pushed up boards because of size and athleticism. Definitely isn't his play.
Kirkpatrick is the #2 Cb for me if he stays focused on being as good as his talent allows him to be. Have always loved his pure gifts. If CB doesn't work i think he can be a good free safety.

Claiborne and Haden together would be 10 years of dominance in the defensive secondary
A poster on BOL put together at state top 8 for next year. Charles Power said it is pretty much how he would have it.
