Maybe Cravens watched the BCSNCG and formed his own opinion about the best team in the SEC

I guess Bama either offered his gf a scholarship/job or secretly placed a former Bama alum on his high school coaching staff in CA

The reports of an Artie Burns de-commitment that surfaced in stories last Friday and Monday morning from CaneSport.com and The Florida Times-Union, respectively, are off-base, according to a source close to the Rivals250 defensive back from Miami-Northwestern High School.

Despite what Burns told those outlets, there are no plans for the four-star cornerback to de-commit, the source said.

Artie Burns is the nation's top hurdler.
"That ain't true," the source told TideSports.com. "I think one school in particular wants him to de-commit, so they can scoop him up. I can tell you, he is going to Alabama."

Over the weekend, Burns won the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles at the 2012 Bob Hayes Invitational in Jacksonville with times of 13.35 and 36.14, respectively.

The source told TideSports.com that despite Burns' athletic gifts, he remains a down-to-earn kid.

"Artie is a real humble, humble kid, very quiet. He's a great athlete. He's just a very quiet, well-mannered kid. No academics problems.

"He is on track to graduate in December and will be in Tuscaloosa in January. He's on the same track as Amari Cooper.

That's good news, if it is indeed 100% true.

Hey, TideSports is my territory

I've kept my mouth shut on the Artie Burns situation because you really don't know how things will actually turn out. No need to drag him and his ability through the mud if he winds up staying committed.

I'm lmao at the comments on the 24/7 article about Nkimdiche

Before anyone asks, i can't read the article, but the 24/7 LSU guys are arguing with the BOL guys on if bama fans are allowed to post in the article comments section since there is only one link(LSU board), but it was linked on both boards.

The board is purple for crying out loud I'm really not sure what part of "the article is posted on our front page" you don't understand. We're not getting here by clicking on LSU's 247 site and then clicking on the "board". All we're doing is reading the article. The article happens to be published to an LSU website, but it's the front page of our website, too - which certainly gives us the privilege of commenting on it. If that weren't the case, the article would have been made for LSU subscribers only and not posted to the front page of BamaOnLine. The color nor the domain name have any bearing over who has a right to comment on the article, and it certainly doesn't give you the right to edit people's posts and replace them with things like "I'm gay" and "I don't have any friends", etc...

quote:

Unlike your dump of a site known as "BOL" other posters are allowed to post on LSU's site, novel concept.. You guys should be concerned with Robert choosing LSU. 4-3 D suits him much better than 3-4 D. Pretty sure I saw him tweet Saturday night "LSU bound"..

He's on a damn power trip. He's doing a terrible(not our terrible, Magilla) job at being a temporary mod.

Now it's official on Artie Burns:

quote:

Miami Northwestern High School four-star DB Artie Burns told CaneSport.com last week that he planned to decommit from Alabama and that Florida State was his new frontrunner with the Canes in second place.

Now he's changed that outlook ... at least partially.

Burns says he officially decommitted from Alabama today, but instead of naming a new frontrunner he's naming a top five.

Those lucky schools? Miami, Florida State, USC, LSU and Louisville.

"They're in no order, it's all even," Burns said.

Burns said when he called Bama coaches today to give them the news he was decommitting "They were upset. They were trying to sway me to come back, said what a great opportunity I had there."

Just another reason I've never really commented on the situation until it did or didn't happen...

The frick? Normally the school you were committed to is still listed.

Every DB in the nation is beating down our door. He stays in FL

Pretty bizarre. Unusual for Tidesports to have a source that's that far off the mark.

Based on the fact that we're not even in his top 5, I'm guessing someone has gotten in his ear.

Idk where he ends up but if he does decommit we're losing one of the best athletes in this class. That 13.35 he ran this weekend was the 2nd fastest time EVER for junior and better than Ted Ginn Jr or Robert Griffin's times

Maybe if Amari has a great freshman year and we stay on him then he'll reconsider. AB would have a great chance of playing his second year with Milliner, Fulton, Dixon and Belue all being juniors.
