You think he will be a top 3 pick? Not likely, as an OLB rush guy he would've been but not as a DE unless he has double digit sacks a few years, but DE players stock varies almost more than any other position

He is a beast guess I'm just pissed we didn't land him, maybe it isn't as bad as a few other SEC programs

I don't know why Urban Meyer would have that other kid above Zaire. I watched his film and wasn't overly impressed. About the only thing in his favor is his height.

Absolutely. Mario Williams was the top pick.

You know we only focus on National championships .We'll leave the divisional banners to USCe and you guys.Which Lesbi-honest Auburn probably wont do for a while.

Yea i do agree that the last 2 years he has been overworked and it has been shown in the NFL that this type of abuse shortens careers. But, the kid seems fine with it from the quotes i have read and seems to enjoy being a workhorse. Oh well, ignorance is bliss and he may be sorry later.

In all seriousness, I stopped being disappointed about him the second I read that article about his recruitment.

Funny i said all along that it wasnt that big a deal since his body was clearly made for the 43 DE and his refusal to play jack made him less desirable for our schemed defense. I was saying this during football season long before NSD, and i also said my top guy would be Pagan since his body fit our 34 perfectly. Clowney will go ahead of Pagan in the draft, no doubt, but schematically i dont think we lost much and IMHO got the better fit with Pagan.

Not like it's far fetched. He had 9 as a true freshman

You have said Nkedichme is close to committing how many times now? You're bound to get it right sooner or later. #stillwaiting

I tend to agree with that, but Upshaw played with his hand on the ground most of the time, so I think he would have done well in our scheme.

I was mostly speaking to that interview after he committed, which I believe was the first in depth one he had done. He just came across as pretty disrespectful and kind of trashy. Teenagers are going to be teenagers, but if someone like Nick Saban or Steve Spurrier wanted to talk to me about football when I was 17, I would have at least had the common courtesy to sit there and listen to them.

Auburn continues to work hard at flipping OJ Howard.

quote:

“As I look at it now, I really don’t know what’s in store,” he said. “I give both (Alabama and Auburn) a chance because you don’t know what each coordinator will do. I am going to wait and see how the tight end is going to be used before I make my decision.

quote:

“(Scot Loeffler, Auburn’s new offensive coordinator) was trying to show me the different ways the tight end will be motioned — that really caught my eye. I want to see if he’s really going to use them that way. It might be a big twist coming down to the end.”

quote:

“You want to see if you can get on the field the quickest,” he said. “Both schools have a good engineering program, that’s what I want to do. Those are my two choices right now. It comes down to the opportunity of getting the chance to get on the field the quickest."

Yea i think i know of the article you are talking about where he complained about Saban talking for a really long time, etc.

Upshaw was also very good against the run something i think Clowney will be less affectful against compared to a guy like Pagan.

Doesn't sound like a commitment to me. I wouldn't consider him a commit at least, but that's JMO.

I'm the same way with a guy UF has committed right now, and one that may commit here in about a week. If Alexander commits on his next trip on the 17th, I won't really consider him a verbal. I hate how some of these kids go about it these days. They hold a spot in your class, and then in the end, they shite on you in some instances.
