I'm down for Ryan Burns me likey, the 1 we gotta convince is Saint though Mag, he is heart broken bit sadly I think BoB at Ped State (horible I know) convinced Christian he did evryrhing for Brady short of birth out of his own womb. I wish Saban could somehow sneakily get him to visit Kansas and Doughnut b/c he would ravage that image I'm sure BoB gave him, since Doughnut probably had the most to do with Brady, or at least more than anyone else especially more than BoB.

I don't think either of those guys had much to do with the success of Brady. They both did pretty well helping him with the play calling, but the person who made Tom Brady was Tom Martinez (R.I.P.)

Yah true but Doughnut had more to do with forming the offense NE ran for a while than anyone else who falsely claims it was them

I had not known he had passed away. Was this recently? Guy knew his QB mechanics. R.I.P. Tom

He passed away on February 21st (his 66th birthday) after a heart attack. He also had diabetes and cancer. Martinez was a great person and really did a lot to help Brady.

Wow, sad to hear that. I really liked the piece they did on him and Tom Brady's relationship. Seemed like a real genuinely good person. Thanks for the info.

From a poster on BOL that has been on the site a while TIFWIW
quote:
I got word that Austin Golson has transfered to Autauga Academy along with a few other Prattville players and will be flipping his commitment from FSU to Bama. Was not given a time table for him flipping, but I trust the person who told me as he is close to these players.
quote:
OJ is working on him to come to Bama, apparently they have become pretty good friends.

Glad I'm a nite owl and saw this
Would be a great if it were to happen, fills a much needed need AND keeps one of the best instate players instate.
Lots of deja vu in that last sentence

Like I said, TIFWIW.
I dont know the poster but his post count is up there so I dont think it is a troll.
Do you remember what games TJ came to last year for Bama? I know he came once with Ryan Anderson. Everyone knew about that one. What game was that?

Oh I know, true or false my emotions won't fluctuate much. I've separated them from recruiting so I don't go off the deep end.
And I think Yeldon made it to all the big home games, back when he was "only going because his friend asked him to"

quote:Ok. There was just someone talking on there about going to see Ryan Anderson and rumors started flying in September back then that Yeldon was going to flip. I sure didnt hear shite about it

Are you sure about that? I know he had 7 kids, but D'arric wasn't listed as one of them. Now Derrion is a DE for Mizzou, he got a little publicity a few years back.

Surely one of DT's kids has to be good enough to play at Bama...

Poor assumption on my part that his last name was Thomas. He played CB/RB too, so I thought that was him.
Nice to see he has 2 kids playing college ball, including 1 in the SEC. And damn, 5-11 210 is stout for any type of freshman.

Yeah, I dont think it is a good sign though that Coach Mac is holding open tryouts for linemen though.

Derrion had some type of offer to Bama, might have just been a walk on spot.

Open tryouts is never a good sign, especially for lineman. You can maybe find a Kicker/Punter that way, and you can just see what's out there like Franklin did at Vandy, but not for lineman. You'll either have undersized buff guys or out of shape guys as your best option.
Alexander has given me another reason to catch a CSU game, I hope he does well. I would have never known if you wouldn't have said anything
quote:
He’s 5-foot-11, 210-pounds and runs a 4.41-second 40-yard dash. He has a 355-pound bench press, 38-inch vertical leap and, if he doesn’t make it as a running back for CSU, he’d be happy to switch to defense. He told me he also played linebacker in high school and loves defense.
Beast.

If anyone needs any fapping material, CoachSaban.net has a lot of highlight videos from last season with parts of Saban's pregame speeches mixed in.
My three favorites:
From Vandy
quote:
"Everybody you play, you gotta change how they think. And you outta be pissed off about having to do it."
From Tennessee.
quote:
We got passion, energy and enthusiasm. We can take anybody's arse out.
From Arky.
