All depends on qb play. They'll have decent lines, and should have talent and better coaching.
However frazier didn't look like he was quite ready to be a true qb yet.

Agree in the look of Frazier but keep in mind, he didn't even go thru a spring. He now has a season under his belt, a full off season and spring..and Scott Leoffler is more known for his success as a quarterbacks coach than anything....I'm sure you know the list, Tim Tebow, Tom Brady, etc..., plus, everyone is straight freaking out about how good Frazier looked in the Spring.

I think AU is going to beat UGA, calling it now.

We will be one game better than last year, and much more competitive in the losses.

I think Auburn will be about 9-4 or maybe even 10-3.I would not be surprised if they get a last second win against bama if bama has no chance at the title.

Much improved team, but that's still a pretty rough schedule.

Auburn could very easily be the most improved team in the SEC as far as how the team plays and the strength of the team but still have the same record. I just don't think they will be able to beat Alabama or LSU and Arkansas will be very tough. Loses against Georgia and Clemson are very possible.

I still think they're going to miss Trotter Cam.

I've seen all the opinions about being improved but not improving the record, and I just don't buy that. Auburn lost very little from last year's team, while everyone we lost to lost a good bit. Not to mention that both new offensive linemen are upgrades over last year's starters, they just needed a year of Yoxercise to get where they needed to be physically.
And I really don't think QB play is going to be the deciding factor; as always, it comes down to the offensive line. If the line gives Frazier time to throw, he'll be fine. If they don't, he will struggle. It's as simple as that. With the playmakers around him (OMac, Blake, Lutz, Mason, Bray, etc.), he won't need to be a world beater, he just has to limit mistakes.
The biggest reason I think Auburn will be much improved this year, however, is the defense, particularly the defensive line. Jeff Whitaker, especially, is going to make a huge step this year, I think; he is one of the major ones that the "losing the baby fat" thing applies to, because that dude got in the weight room and worked his tail off after last season ended. Returning 10 starters (Jake Holland was the starter to begin the season, and likely never would have yielded the position to Eltoro Freeman if not for getting hurt) makes a huge difference.
All in all, I think we finish 9-3 or 10-2. The swing game is in T-town, and that's one I don't think anyone can call accurately right now, because both teams likely be very different after game eleven than they are before game one.

I see Auburn in a perennial fight to with Arkansas to stay one step ahead of Texas A&M and Miss. St., with Ole Miss not seeing the light of day for years to come.
Not being snarky here, but just seeing that trend.

Auburn has recruited pretty well over the past 3 years. Auburn, like Florida, is a year away from being a really good, championship contending team. Bama's recruiting has been off the charts good and LSU's has been outstanding as well. I don't see another team outside of these 3 programs winning the West over the next 5 years. It will be a battle year in and year out to win this division over the next few years.
Texas A&M could compete in 2014 and beyond if their recruiting holds up to this year's haul. But, they are at least 2 years away from being at a level to win the West.

That's fair. On the other hand, if Auburn wins handily, it could well catapult us to overachieve, a la Bama in 2008.

Until AU has QB issues resolved, they are a 7-8 win team in the regular season. That back seven on defense has problems too.

1-4 start with a new QB alot of defensive questions...plus new coordinators- but a 7-5 finish- Chizik is a 7-5, 8-4 type coach when there is no Cam Newton- 2012 wont be any different
