Oh, and also randomly destroying Ole Miss 45-7 in the middle of all that, because, you know, Ole Miss.
And we had a halfway decent team that year too. Shaun Alexander ran for around 5,000 yards that day

Wrong year. Alexander went pro after the ‘99 season.

Bama went 3-8, but all 3 of our wins were vs SEC schools.

It was also the first time we had lost in Baton Rogue in 31 years.

Absolutely you care along with all these other rustled Tiders in this thread.

I would think most here would agree your fanbase easily has the most trouble accepting and dealing with a loss, any loss, past, present or even a close victory for that matter.

That loss is not just any loss because of the significance of the Museum opening for your legend.

Literally had no idea we lost to Ole Miss in 1988 until you just posted about it. I don’t even know who was coaching Ole Miss in 1988. You probably don’t either.

I can tell you your legend (Bear) didn't have the stones to schedule my legend (Vaught) every year.

Bryant was 5-2 against Vaught at Alabama.

As an AU fan, here’s a few. 07 USF. That USF climbed up in the ranks at #2 at one point but this was the same team that ended up beating Florida & Tebow in the same season. They were good but no way should they have won a night game in Jordan-Hare.
The 06 Arkansas loss always kills me due to the implications it had for us as a 2 loss team. Even though they ended up being great, that loss killed me. 03 USC, I was young & I know they were good, but I really wanted to take out a PAC-10 powerhouse. Especially considering how highs AU’s expectations were the start of that year. Almost was 2011 Utah State & 2015 Jacksonville State

How many wins does Southern Miss have versus the SEC? Looks like quite a few in this thread.

To be fair, some of those Southern Miss teams from the 90's/early 2000's were pretty badass

Bottom 3 home losses over the last 30 years (1988-2017):

2008 - Arkansas State 18, Texas A&M 14 (Mike Sherman era began with a whimper)

2005 - Iowa State 42, Texas A&M 14 (allowed a 300 yard passer, 200 yard rusher and 100 yard receiver in the same game to a mediocre program)

2000 - Colorado 26, Texas A&M 19 (Colorado was 0-4 going into that game and their head coach removed the Buffalo logos off their helmets. Ended a 22-game home win streak)

Jesus, I had forgotten about that one.
Watched at a buddy's house for his birthday. Got too drunk during the game to hit the bar with the guys.

Who said I’m a Clemson fan?

Pointing out South Carolina delusional fans is easy. But continue with the childish name calling.... it further proves my point.

We lost at home in Bham one year to Southern Miss. Brett Favre may have been their QB that year.

You probably aren’t. Which would make your obsession with cocks that much worse.

Go on with your 3 losses then. I’m curious.

The 52-17 thrashing by Spurrier and the Gators in ‘9t at Sanford comes to mind.

Homecoming in 2006 when we lost to Vandy was bad. Cutler basically just threw 5 to 7 yard slants against Willie’s soft-arse zone coverage and we didn’t adjust at all. It was infuriating.

Not so much because we lost to bad opponent or the final was extremely lopsided, but he Bama Blackout was just an embarrassment on a national level. With as much skill position talent as we had on that team, there really wasn’t an excuse for coming out that unprepared... except that it was Mark Richt’s team. Either that or Bama in 2015, but I kind of expected that one.
