Your favorite road trip for a game (SEC or Non-SEC)?

Off-season thread alert...
Taking into account everything (the campus, stadium, tailgating, atmosphere, food and drink, and such), collectively, what are or what was your favorite road trip for a game? This does not have to be strictly confined to a SEC trip. However, keep it confined to an opponent's campus (no neutral sites, bowl games, etc.)
Top-to-bottom, for me, the 2019 trip to Texas was my most favorite. It was hot as hell, but both teams represented very well. LSU and Texas is just a "natural rivalry" which is unique considering the two haven't really played much. While the tailgating environment was a letdown, the food and bar scene in Austin was great and helped make up for it. The stadium was loud, the atmosphere was electric, and we saw a great game. The stadium, honestly, was alright, I expected it to be better, but it was still a nice B+/A- stadium. I think we're just spoiled a little in the SEC.
What say you?

LSU is the best regular trip.
I've been to games in boulder, stillwater, tempe, etc. and whiel all presented unique differences compared to the SEC, they simploy aren't as big time. I think LSU is probably the waway trip that I have and will continue to look forward to the most.
eta: as far as places we actually play on a routine/normal basis, I get especially amped for all of the main 3 in UF/UT/AU but UF has to get the nod just due to everythign surrounding that game.
For now anyway. I'm sure it'll be ancient history in a few years thanks to money.

Georgia would have been better if it wasn't an 11am game. The beatdown didn't help but could have enjoyed tailgating etc longer.
Going to Florida next season.

How were these? Did you a favorite non-conference visit? I'd imagine Boulder would be great scenery wise - not sure about their atmosphere though.

LSU is the best
Fans are nicer than you think as long as you aren’t a sensitive a-hole. Got invited to many a tailgate and had a great time. Stadium atmosphere is 2nd to none

LSU, I had an uncle & aunt who lived in Plaquemine, always a great time. They knew a lot of people & we were able to hit a lot of tailgates, which are the best in the conference. I miss them a lot.

they were fine, no real complaints. Our team sucked 2/3 of those years so that put a damper on otherwise fine trips. The OSu trip in 09 was likely the worst just because it didn't offer cool scenery and stuff like the other 2. We flew into Wichita then drove a few hours sotuh on I35 amongst the flattest nothingness imagineable. For CU we went ot Estes Park and for ASU we visited Sedona but OSu didn't really offer excursions like that. The fans in CU were kind of assholes. The others were fine.

My favorite places I have seen LSU play in person: @Washington, @UCLA, Wisconsin in Green Bay, @NDame.

I’ve been to AU road games at a ton of venues, from Ole Miss (Grove overrcrowded and overrated), to Clemson (okay town, subpar stadium), to Florida (too many jorts per capita). But my favorite trip was probably at LSU. Cool stadium and fun tailgate scene with the best food offerings by far.

LSU a natural rivalry? I doubt Texas would ever rival a state school

i've always enjoyed the Ole MIss trip. Good time of year and a pretty campus to tailgate in. Lots of room b/c i don't go to the grove except to walk by and laugh. Trip is not bad, I"ve stayed in Jackson and Memphis the night before (would not do that again, but it's been a while). in the SEC i've never been to Ark, TN, Vandy or South Carolina or Mizzou.

SEC is Vandy because Nashville is a great 3 day weekend with a win for the dogs on the second day.
Non-SEC would be Austen....football sucks but the area is fantastic if you like to drink and listen to live music. Food is also good if you avoid the BBQ. A FINE Beer Garden in one end zone of the stadium which predates the civil war. All in all a great experience outside of the game where the crowd is completely disconnected....a lot like UGA before Mark Richt where the game could be a one pointer with less than a minute to go and the home team driving and the folks in the stands talking about events in Hahira and asking folks to sit down and be quite.
Since Texas will soon be in the SEC another nice one was CU Boulder....another great place to eat and drink and while the football ain't great the crowd when I was there looked like it might be into the game if the game was in question and meant anything. Folks are also friendly but I was there for Colorado and Texas State and wearing UGA shirt and hat so I can't say what it would like to show up in green and gold when CSU was in town or Red and White when Nebraska was there.

LSU was a blast. A weekend in Nashville is tough to beat as well.

I've been to Ole Miss more than any other road trip. I want to like Ole Miss, but it is simply too much of a hassle. Nothing is easy there.
-It's typically hard to get a place to stay in Oxford
-The restaurants are typically packed to the brim and are very difficult to get into
-The bars are also ridiculously crowded and have an absurd cover charge
-The alcohol/open container policy makes it such an inconvenience, even for adults
-The Grove is packed and hard to navigate through and find friends or family
It's a nice town, a pretty campus, and generally a nice little stadium, but it is such a hassle compared to all other road games I've been to.

Non-SEC would be @Notre Dame (for both as a UGA & USC fan and graduate). The fall foliage, campus, atmosphere, their stadium....loads of fun.
SEC for me is @Jax vs. Florida, @LSU, and @Kentucky.

How was that? Can you describe more? I'd love to see LSU play up there, especially with the additional Brian Kelly wrinkle.

Kentucky is a nice little underrated trip. The football atmosphere doesn't equate to the major SEC teams, but if Keeneland is going on, it's great. Pretty town too.

wonderful trip. It certainly helps that you can parlay a trip to chicago with it. Our group stayed in CHI and rented a van for the trek over to south bend. Beautiful campus. We piddled around campus and went to the bookstore and stuff before tailgating in the big crowd by the stadium in a big parking lot. I don't recall seeing any of the SB bars since we were either in a vehicle or on campus while we were there. It was cool just being in the stadiujm though knowing all the history there. And of course we made history of our own by completely and totally owning the turnout.

Arkansas is my favorite. Great folks, great town, great environment, etc.

This is the best way to do a game in Knoxville. Rent a cabin in Gatlinburg (not to be confused with Pigeon Forge), drive over for the game and have a designated driver bring the group back to the cabin.
