You know you're strong when the coaches tell you to "cut back on the weightlifting!"

I read an interview with Branson Robinson, that big RB for UGA that ran for those last 2 TDs in the 4th quarter against TCU. He came to UGA as a freshman already having the body of a freakun bodybuilder. He put up 600+ lbs squat, 420 bp and 700+ deadlift as a senior in HS. He said the S&C coaches told him to cut back on the weights. He apparently was pushing 230-240 lbs body weight and they said he was going to start hurting his speed. Pretty impressive.
I know you rival fans don't care about this, but to you UGA fans reading this, I'd say this kid is about to be Nick Chubb 2.0. He already has dang quads bigger than my waist. His speed looked just fine to me in limited action this season. He might overtake Milton and Edwards for the starting gig before too long. What do yall think?

Then why post it on this board and not the UGA board?

I would assume it's because the Soviet Union is more active than their team board.

Easy on the Chubb comparisons. Chubb could run like a deer. PR of 10.69 in the 100m. Robinsons was 11.41 for comparison

They said the same thing about Trent Richardson too, didn’t they?

Just so I would have the satisfaction of rubbing your nose in the fact that UGA has superior athletes and a superior S&C program and to let you know that our running game is going to truck your team if they play and everyone else when they play this season. How's that for a snide, honest answer?

chubb lived right up the street from me and I can tell you that I knew when he was in the 9th grade he was going to be an AA running back somewhere.

But you don’t play the West. You pay in the easy East so it’s hard to say how your backs would do vs SEC West backs. We got a lot of speed over on our side.

Since you brought it up...did the gAggies have any AA running backs in that All-World recruiting class last season? I know Weigman is pretty good looking QB, but I never looked close enough to see if they brought in any RBs? Just curious...

Man... 11.4 for a guy weighting 240 is still pretty darn fast. That said a 10.6-10.7 is very very fast.

He fella, nobody is forcing you to read ANY thread. So, why are you wasting your typing energy on this one? So, why don't you mosey along. Afterall, this thread is talking about the REAL Bulldawg team in the SEC, not the second-tier Dawgs.

We got Owens, who will get some snaps. Daniels and Moss will be featured. Daniels is a blazer, moss is bigger with decent speed. He ran 100-meter times of 10.84 and 11.01 as a junior, along with a 23.04 200. Ran a 10.92 100 as a freshman. But Daniels will probably be our big play back, tho he’s smaller than the others.

Well, here's hoping they run all over Bama and Auburn when they play this year.

That much muscle mass hurts flexibility (lateral movement)

Those types are addicted to the results and always want bigger muscles. Look up Laron Landry.

RB’s is by far my favorite position to watch in football. In the league, they are criminally underpaid and they take the most hits of any other position. It really grinds my gears.
