An LSU fan calling an 8–4 career coach elite is what’s remarkable

Not sure where you’re getting this thing about Golding’s position being “tenuous.” You must know something that the entire OM administration and fanbase don’t.

Kiffin is the one who demanded (and got) the highest coaching salary in the country. If he loses to the first-year coach who is making about half that, with a significantly lower player payroll, it will be the first step toward the hot seat for him.

Like Stephen A said, if OM loses by 20+ the program is dead for a generation.

Excuse me, dead for yet another generation.

I stated what I am getting at

Their contracts, pretty simple. Kiffin will be afforded time to win other big games because LSU will have no choice

not so for Golding

Clicked on it. None mention her by name. At best you can argue the first one involves her, and maybe if you squint, you can loop her in under the #heaux has tag by insinuation-- though given it accuses Lane of kiddy diddling it would seem more logically targeted at him and his alleycat ways.

LSU linebacker was fricking his daughter last season during game week and he flirted with him and eventually left to coach him. He’s a bit of a cuck if anything.

So are you saying that we won’t give Pete an opportunity to win a big game ever again?

Your argument makes no sense whatsoever

I am saying you will give him less opportunities than Kiffin will have because you are not forced to by the terms of his contract like LSU. LSU is married to Kiffin due to his guaranteed money. If things go south fast for Golding, Ole Miss can cut bait much easier

Golding will therefore be afforded less opportunity to underperform. The argument that people are making saying lane is under more pressure because of the money in his contract makes far less sense. The money in his contract is essentially what would be protecting him

It’s because your initial wording is arse.

And no one is talking about the possibility of this game leading to someone getting fired. So contract buyout amounts aren’t really that relevant to the argument. Both will be afforded other opportunities to win a big games.

Both are in their first years of their contracts. Results would have to be atrocious for either to be fired after their first two seasons.

Let me make sure what you’re saying. Pete Golding’s $7 million/year contract is in jeopardy if he loses this game on the way to a 9-3 season, but LSU will be entirely happy paying Kiffin $13 million if he loses this game on the way to 9-3?

Corndog logic is something else.

I said more tenuous than kiffin, read

quote:

Kiffin is the one who demanded (and got) the highest coaching salary in the country
It doesnt matter, he got the contract and the protection

quote:

.If he loses to the first-year coach who is making about half that, with a significantly lower player payroll, it will be the first step toward the hot seat for him.
which would be many more steps required tha Golding,

What financial protection does Golding have if he underperforms? because Kiffin a contract worth over $90 million, LSU is married to Kiffin for the foreseeable future
