Help me understand why people think OU will go 8-5 instead of their usual 10 win season? I can see 9-3 myself as an OU diehard.

Because your current coach is averaging 8 wins a year

They think you got the SEC schedule from Hades and the shorthorns got the Vandy treatment.

Because it is 1:43 pm and OU still sucks..

Because it's the SEC and Norman is not a difficult place to win

8-5 is thirteen games.
9-3 is twelve games.
Are bowl games punishing three loss teams?

Because you won’t be padding your schedule with the little sisters of the poor anymore.

New OL. New QB. Most SEC teams are probably better than Kansas.
Defense will keep you in a lot of games though

I think y’all should prepare yourselves for some 7-5/6-6 too.

Probably because they think OU will lose to Tennessee, Texas, Ole Miss, Bama and LSU.

I can see the following
Temple - Win
Houston - Win
Tulane - Win
Tenner - Loss
Auburn - Win
Texas - Loss
South Carolina - Win
Ole Miss - Loss
Maine - Win
Bama - Loss
LSU - Loss
Edit - S#it Dawg beat me to it.

Temple Houston Tulane Maine = 4-0
road games - Auburn Ole Miss Missouri LSU = 1-3
home games - Tennessee Carolina Alabama = 1-2
Dallas - Texas = 0-1
6-6 with a trip to Vegas or Birmingham in December -

Got it. LOL. Look at the win totals then. Question remains.

I think they handle texsa again. OU's defense is better and Whorn offense worse. They will win 2 of 3 on the road. MORE TALENT WINS.

Idk about your overall record but the VOLS will deep dick the Sooners in Norman this year
Posted on 6/26/24 at 3:56 pm to Lord of the Hogs
The problem with that is LSU has averaged 9.5 wins over 10 years...and OU has more talent in 2024 that LSU carried in recent years (4) per the blue chip ratio. Based on that, there is no basis to sell OU short.
