Wait til he finds out his new coach has autism and doesn’t like to be touched or to be around people.

I do not either...unless it is a good looking woman doing the touching.

At least he was attempting to make it look like he was recruiting.

Lane can be relatable in that way.

Still so weird that we hired him. Feels like a fever dream.

Most LSU fans knew - myself & everyone in my family hated the Kiffin hire.

Twitter Lane is not real life Lane. He is awkward AF. Avoids people.
The first time I met him (at Alabama), he literally walked up to me to shake my hand and introduced himself, unprompted.
I get what you're saying about his personality, but "avoids people" is a little dramatic.

There's something unseemly about defending a "our guy" for years and then crapping on them after they have gone, but just about everybody does it.
No one seems to be magnanimous enough to say something to the effect of Coach served the institution well, but we have made a change and looking towards the future.

I agree with you, I'm not going to dump on BK too hard.
I think, ultimately, he just wasn't built for the NIL/portal era and was too set in his ways to adapt. If LSU hires BK in 2016, there's probably a different outcome.
There were players saying they never talked to BK at all, that probably worked in the 2000's and 2010's, it doesn't work today. You have to fund raise today, you have to be present. You can't just coach football.
At the end of the day, he won 70% of his games and was just never able to get over the hump.

Why would someone lie about that though?
Eta: This would be something that I would say about DiNardo, Saban, Miles and Orgeron. But, Brian Kelly completely checked out on the team. I am not about to sit up here and thank him for anything.

It may be a function of how he never wanted to really stay at Ole Miss so he didn’t care. My dad met him. Opposite reaction, very awkward and distant. I was also on the University Development team for a time. Worked with Sally Rychlak so he would be around. He genuinely seemed to have disdain for how much folks around town would recognize him and didn’t want to be near them.
If I was in his shoes, I’d probably be the same way. There is no judgement there. But I’m also not making millions.

I mean in a job sense. He isn't going to dinner with boosters and out spending time with beat writers. He does as little as required when it comes to the "money" people. Saban cut them off, especially from coordinators. He cut it off at Ole Miss. Will be interesting to see how that plays at LSU.

He's been pretty involved at LSU so far, there's a reason they gave him more than was initially promised.

You mean when he left 10 minutes in at a fundraiser for OLOL this week? That is what he does.
