Not bad, but GT hasn't been relevant in a very long time. You shouldn't list them.

Now if you could play most of those teams H/H, you'd get more respect.

Agreed.
UGA is 8-3 against Georgia Tech.

But we are 8-3 against Auburn.
We are 8-3 against Tennessee.

Georgia Tech is the Auburn/Tennessee of their own conference.

It is P5 football.

Schedules are 3 or more years out for most teams.

For some teams getting a game may mean going out 5 to 7 years.

Predicting the top 10 is hard with that lag.

Any SEC team that wins league is likely to have played a good enough schedule to merit playoff consideration.

I doubt 30 or 40 power 5 ADs are calling Bama everyday trying to get a home and home.

How many of those were on the road? Everyone knows Saban is scared to go play a big time OOC on the road.

Less impressive when it’s played on a neutral field

Could you do me a favor?
Rank your favorite road OOC games for me.
Which ones were the best games?
Which ones were the best fan experiences?

Your schedule is "not bad" but...

Is ANYONE making as much effort to go out and schedule quality programs? It's amazing how a narrative can be the exact opposite of reality.
The thing that folks don't realize or won't admit is Alabama commits EVERY YEAR to a special opener in a very popular venue on national TV, then the promoters go out to find the biggest named teams who'll come to play them. You're starting to see that teams don't want any part of Alabama's arse in that opener, SO they're having to take what they can get. Do people really believe that promoters wouldn't rather have an Alabama/Ohio St. game than one with Louisville?
PS-And before the LSU clowns come around throwing Clemson's name up, don't forget that when a highly ranked Clemson team DID open the season with Alabama, they got curb stomped, their season went to hell and their head coach, Tommy Bowden, was fired in the middle of the season.....and replaced with a guy named Dabo something-or-another.

Bama pays a lot of money to schedule cupcake teams.

Maybe you are too broke to schedule a decent home and home?

Maybe the tradition in Tuscaloosa isn't attractive enough to garner OOC interest?

Which is it?

The reality is that Bama wasn't trying to schedule a tough ooc.

Good enough has been good enough.

Or do you think Bama's AD is ineffective and can't accomplish what it wants?

Until this coming year, I had few complaints. Even Louisville, when we got them, were a ranked team. Then their QB left and they became garbage (so an average ACC team).

But Duke? UGH.

If/when they do get a strong first game opponent(as they always used to), that rounds out their schedule nicely. If you'll look closer at our future schedules, you'll find home-and-homes with big name programs. Saban's past reasoning regarding first game, big time opponents in great neutral sight venues was totally sound from a recruiting standpoint, plus fans loved the trips to start the season off. Over time, the fans have grown tired of the travel while the "better" teams have grown tired of the arse whippings....so it's back to the home-and-homes.
Also, the "tradition" in Tuscaloosa has never been questioned by anybody that knows shite about college football, which makes me wonder about you.

Yeah.

I missed all of the message boards of teams "missing" the opportunity to visit tuscaloosa.

Thanks for catching that with no evidence whatsoever.

Good enough is good enough, right?

I love the "content" Bama fanbase with the decade of scheduling.... because it works. The playoff committee confirms it, too.
