Would you rather lose in the second round of the NCAAT or NIT?

Asking for LSU fans.

I'd rather win the NIT then lose in the first round of the tourney cause you get to see a few more games. A tourney win > an NIT title though

Rather be one and done in Ncaa over one NIT win but would rather win two NIT games and advance than one and done in Ncaa.

Go to NCAA tourney no matter what you do is > NIT. Nobody cares who is in NIT or what happens there. All anyone in bball cares about is NCAA tourney.

NIT, only have a few hundred in attendance and a few thousand on TV.

For a young team like State, I think a deep run in the NIT this year is going to set them up well for next year in the tourney. Can't beat post season experience. Hard to get that with one and done in the tourney. So there are definitely circumstances where it makes sense.

This is how I know you’re not a b-ball fan.
Going 0-1 in the NCAA is easily better than winning the NIT.

So you actually think getting all excited only to be one and done and laughed at is better? Lmao what a meathead.

And Ole Miss dude, you are not allowed to weigh in Mr. "finish dead last in conference in another sport." You were not even close to being a bubble team nor did you get an NIT invite. You didn't even get invite to the TSRFB tourney -(Teams that Suck Real Fking Bad).

we're all just embarrassed for you to actually believe our facetious posts about the NIT

We only make the NIT when we make the postseason, and yet we still know it isn't worth getting excited about. You claim to be a "basketball" school, yet think it's ok to be excited about the NIT? Nobody cares about the NIT, sorry. This has nothing to do with ole miss, although I know you can't think about anything else. NCAA tourney is all that matters in bball. Grow up, Peter Pan.

NIT is about as lame as you can get. I can’t tell you who won that tournament last year or the runner up. NCAAT and it’s not even close.

Better than being laughed at for not even getting invited to the party

yes. I believe the SEC schools each got around 1 million just for round 1 as part of the tv deal. you also get added exposure, and a big sales pitch for recruiting.

NIT gives practice time, some game experience for younger guys who will play next year and a shot to play at MSG
WIthout those, the NIT is pretty meaningless
