So your argument is
"Our basketball team is shitty in the NIT but our football team/coach is even shittier since it is embarrassing to lose them"

I would much rather lose in the first round of the NCAA than win the NIT, but if we're in the NIT, I definitely want to win it.

Auburn 2009. Top seed in NiT, won 2 games. Still believe and would have much preferred being in the NCAAs. Even losing by 31.
