Would the CFP committee take a chance on a three loss team winning the national title?

You shouldn’t be penalized for losing in an extra game that others didn’t (A&M, Ole Miss, OU) even have to play in but if Bama we’re to get in and somehow win it all then CFP would have a three loss national champion. I don’t think the CFP committee wants to take that chance. Duke is the ACC champ with five losses and that’s just dumb so I don’t think CFP wants to run the risk of a three loss national champion.

The problem for Bama is they didn’t just lose.

Why not? They put G5 teams in.
If you lose you lose.
If you lose you lose.

You should be penalized in any game where you look like arse, regardless of whether it was a pointless “extra” game.
Your play fricking matters. Don’t sign up for it and then bitch when it burns you.
But te committee is absolute gutless and will put Bama with a bye

Hot take. 3 losses should automatically disqualify you, no matter when or where they occur.

There is no chance this group can win the championship. Unless they started Russell at Qb and maybe moved Ryan Williams to running back

There aren't 12 teams who can claim to be championship contenders. I see 2 honest claims, Indiana and Georgia. That's it.
But Alabama is a top10 team.

And before anyone says anything otherwise....I'd say the same if it were LSU.

Yes, Bama is in. 0% chance they won't be.

100% yes. They’ve back doored into the championship game before albeit under different circumstances.

The problem for Bama is they lost to FSU and Miami beat FSU.

Clemson had 3 losses last year

Yeah but they won the ACC. It's totally awesome when 3 loss ACC teams pull a conference championship upset to keep a 3 loss Alabama from an at large bid because they automatically qualify.
But we have to draw the line at letting 5 loss ACC champions in the playoffs. That's when we have to start letting the 25th ranked Sun Belt champion in

One could argue that last night's game with Georgia was a playoff game test for BAMA, because that's the caliber of team they're gonna have to beat in the playoffs, and they got skull dragged. So, why give them a chance to go back into the playoffs when they couldn't beat a playoff bound team in any way last night. They were beaten in all facets of the game....it was a total beatdown.

The problem was we had to play a good team that we already beat. Its hard to beat a good team twice. It will be different the 3rd time.
