If you're looking just at conference results then '13 Sparty's way up there. First team to win all of their conference games by 10+ points including a win over an undefeated Meyer-coached OSU team in the B1GCG. Won the Rose Bowl over a tough-as-nails Stanford team.

I don't think Sparty beats FSU that year but they were better than everyone else.
Top four will be some combo of IU/Miami/Oregon/OSU. Ole Miss a lock at #5.
12min quarters and ditch the CCGs.

These games should not be longer than NFL games and CFB's postseason should never overlap with the NFL postseason.
Game being in Miami is seriously the only reason I would even entertain Miami having a shot.

They can do it but Indiana is just clinical.
They would've made a much better #4 seed than OU, that's for sure.
This wouldn't even be a good movie at this point.

These sports stories are supposed to involve, y'know, some adversity. Some obstacles to overcome. Some bonding moments when everyone thinks the team is down and out. Would be fitting for a program of IU's stature, right?

This Indiana team has none of that. There's no mountain for them to climb. They've been the #1 team all goddamn season and it hasn't been particularly close.

At this point the movie only gets made if they don't finish the job

Absolutely

I'd like to see Oregon finally win it all

What a cockblock it would be if Oregon, who's come so tantalizingly close over the last 30 years, gets bounced by some historical laughingstock deciding to have its best season ever.

New ATH today as we crossed $80. I sold a few to recoup my cost basis. Still have plenty of shares for the long haul
Amazing how well the reputation of the game has held up. I think we all knew it was an instant classic after it ended, but the way people still talk about it today pretty much cements it as arguably the best CFB game of all time. Was a treat to watch.

IU is frighteningly efficient.

Seriously, they're playing like Saban's early '10s teams.

Been laughing my arse off at this one for nearly 30 years.
I hear they're remaking it. For, ya know, modern audiences.
I don't buy that any of this happened, but I'll play along.

OT, what would you suggest in this situation?

I wouldn't invite the boyfriend over to a family Christmas party for starters. The boyfriend isn't family. He's not even a fiance. He's just some guy railing your sister.

I would've told that chud to go spend time with his own family.

It’s Titanic, hands down.

It’s a complete narrative and genre departure for him. So much so, that everyone thought it would sink him.

The rest of his films are all science fiction (True Lies being the lone exception). Dude stepped out of his comfort zone and created a historical costume drama on par with and as significant as Gone With the Wind.

What’s more: it was such a passion project that he forewent his salary in exchange for profit sharing. If the movie was as much of a disaster as the ship itself, Cameron would have made nothing.

Eh, Cameron is a reasonably respected deep sea explorer and oceanographer. At the very least he is the best gateway from pop culture to that field of science.

Heck, I'd say his best work, which isn't even listed here, is Ghosts of the Abyss, since that kinda stuff is right up his alley.
1. Princess Bride. What else to say? Just a perfect film.

2. Stand By Me. "No Ace, just you" might be the most cold-blooded line in any movie I've ever seen.

3. Spinal Tap.

4. A Few Good Men.

5. Albert Brooks doc.

The rest I can largely take or leave but for sure an impressive filmography.
Golden-era Simpsons was just kicking off :usa:
I have a very small position in WBD so nothing life-changing, but I'm up over 200% with them. I'm thinking of agreeing to sell a quarter of my current position (to cover my cost basis) and then just letting the rest of it go wherever this corporate buyout nonsense takes it. I assume I get any tendered shares back if Paramount can't secure its majority.

But he did do Misery!

Princess Bride too.
It pains me to think about as someone who tries, really tries, to see the good in people. But the simple truth is that we enable this behavior. We could stop it if we really wanted to. But we don't want to break those eggs. I guess we've decided that the omelet isn't worth it. :dunno:

When Chuck Norris donates blood he declines the syringe and instead requests a handgun and a bucket.
