Les Miles would have still been the coach, so, no.

LSU would have dibs on greatest team ever in that scenario. No one would be able to touch 2011's resume.

Of course not. Miles would still be coaching as well.

That 2011 team may not even happen in this scenario. You have to think about all of the effects of Saban not being at Alabama. 2007 still happens normally but what if Florida remains the powerhouse they were? What if Auburn capitalizes on a weak Alabama? The recruiting aspect is what you have to think about.

No coach has shown the ability to dominate consistently like Saban has at Bama. Take Saban out of the equation and you still have coaches like Fulmer, Miles, and Spurrier who all produced some great teams that dominated for a short time but never like what we're seeing. With the new line up of coaches I don't see anyone close to Fulmer, Miles and Spurrier's caliber let alone close to what Saban has managed right now.

This is true. But LSU would still be a respectable program instead of what they've fallen to now.

Also if Saban wasn't at Bama and his best friend Mark Emmett wasn't President of the NCAA then Bama would have been hit with Lack of Institutional Control and very possibly the Death Penalty. They'd still be recovering to this day, and so far removed from their glory days with Bryant and so many years bottom feeding because of the NCAA sanctions that there'd be no real chance of them ever recovering elite program status and the upcoming generation would view them on par with the Mississippi schools.
Oh, and UAB football wouldn't have been murdered for 2 years and would be building a CUSS dynasty that would get them an AAC invite and make them the only competition for Auburn for instate recruits.

Lol... without saban at bama that 2011 win in Tuscaloosa means shite. It kinda wrecks your goat schedule theory.

Mike Shula would have turned it around and would be considered GOAT by now.
