I refuse to believe there have been 14 teams worse than Chad's magnum opus. Vandy would have slaughtered us.
We were just regular bad to start the season. It wasn’t until the team totally quit on chode that we became all time bad. San Jose was a little bit of a fluke. West Kentucky completely dominated us like they were fricking Alabama.

That game is as bad as it gets for an SEC team.

Those early 2000s Vandy teams were awful.
My dad graduated from Vanderbilt and I grew up a Commodore fan. Solid #2 on my list. He had season tickets at the time and I went to the season opener with him vs Middle Tenn in 2001. There had been 'high hopes' for Vandy--6-5 before the season started. MTSU came back and won and you just knew as well as the players that before Sept 1 the season was in effect over.

Then they laugh and say "I don't need your money, I went to Vanderbilt".
Fair enough.

Kentucky was playing a WR at QB this game and had zero passing threat and we still lost.
But Kentucky played that way most of the year and won 8 games - beat Louisville by 32 and Virginia Tech in a bowl.

In our defense they did go like 6-2 by doing that.
Of course their best wins in that stretch were against two 8-5 teams lol. Dude ran for nearly 300 yards on Louisville

Also Arkansas was the first game Bowden played at QB. As the season went along he got better and better at the reads. Still couldn't pass except for one beauty in the last 15 seconds of the Belk Bowl. Arky played well that game.

Ty Storey got the coach who wouldn't start him fired. Can't get much better than that huh?

It was so poetic to be honest. I never want my team to lose but not going to lie, that a part of it felt right.

2012 Auburn didn't make the cut?
You might want to check with other AU posters, but I personally don’t recall seeing us playing that year.

That team had Patrick Willis and Peria Jerry on defense Thanks Coach O

And very little other SEC-caliber talent. Cutcliffe left a bare cupboard aside from Patrick Willis. Nutt just cashed in on what CEO built

I'm fairly certain that we didn't field a team in 2012.

2018 Arkansas is one of the worst SEC teams I have ever seen. Any list without them is invalid.

Ah yes, the usual suspects

I went to Mississippi State from 2003-2008.
Lots of painful memories are bubbling up looking at that list.

Moo State made this list 4 years in a row from 2002-2005

Darkest days of MSU football in my lifetime. It was remarkably terrible.
