No 2000 Alabama??

We got blown out by Southern Miss and lost to UCF...BOTH at home.

I refuse to believe there have been 14 teams worse than Chad's magnum opus. Vandy would have slaughtered us.

2019 Arkansas might have won 2-3 SEC games in 2005

2012 Auburn didn't make the cut?

And also beat a 8-4 South Carolina team and 7-5 Ole Miss team, and lost to UCLA by 11, Arkansas by 7, Tennessee by 10, LSU by 2, Auburn by 9.

It was a bad team, but it wasn't an all-time bad team conference wise.

Amazing that Brooks followed those up with four consecutive bowl seasons (two 8-5, two 7-6, 3-1 in bowl games).

They were a -0.92. Have to remember, they were a semi-decent team early on......
- lost by 7 to 11-2 Clemson
- lost by 2 to 10-3 LSU

By the last 1/3 of the season, they were every bit as bad as any team on this list, though.

I'm shocked the 2017 Vols didn't sniff this list

They weren't too far off: -3.18. But they beat a P5 team (Georgia Tech, 5-6), which is more than a lot of the teams on this list can say, especially combined with no losses to G5 teams.

No way.

- 7 point win vs Portland State

- 7 point loss to San Jose State
- 26 point loss to Western Kentucky
- 4 point loss to Texas A&N

That’s bad.

It is a shame we were deprived of Vanderbilt/Arkansas last season.

Arkansas' saving grace, I guess, was that they lost some close games to decent teams
- L by 7 to Texas A&M
- L by 4 to Kentucky

EDIT: Damn, just realized that was an A&M joke.

Vandy getting waxed at home by UNLV was one of the worst losses by an SEC team in some time I'd reckon. Then they went and beat Mizzou the next week

I'm not quite sure how the 2019 Vanderbilt team was the worst since 2000. I mean they were putrid, but they beat Missouri and played Georgia semi-competitive.

I guess they did get blown out by Purdue, LSU, Ole Miss, UNLV, South Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

UNLV's biggest margin of victory was Vanderbilt +24. Their 2nd largest margin of victory was Southern Utah +23. Their third biggest margin of victory was SJSU +3 and Nevada +3. Those were their only wins.

2004 - 2005 was a bad stretch for the SEC making any claims to a strong conference.

#15 Arkansas is the only one on your list that wasn't a Mississippi school or the East tandem of Vandy and Kentucky.

If someone tells me they're a Vandy football fan, I give them respect. And usually buy them a beer to drown their sorrows.

Then they laugh and say "I don't need your money, I went to Vanderbilt".

Those early 2000s Vandy teams were awful.

Kentucky was playing a WR at QB this game and had zero passing threat and we still lost.
