Why would UGA not want to celebrate a great military victory over traitors to our country?

This likely doesn't count, but Calling Baton Rouge before each LSU home game is hot fricking garbage. I'd rather heard Alabama blare their racist shite on repeat than sit through Calling Baton Rouge.

Burrow, like Sherman, went from Ohio to LSU and proceeded to burn Atlanta to the ground; however he did it twice compared to one for Sherman

We're ready to jump off the top of the stadium by the end of games bc even WE get so tired of hearing this.
Plus it's played during 3rd downs and it mostly just signals failure for us.

I guess after having to hear it 12 years in a row, it would start to wear on even a preacher..I'll give you a pass!

Corn dogs by a mile.
Oh wait, you said chants.
Got ahead of myself and initially read it as “worst SEC school.” My bad.
As for chants, I’m out of loop on this so can’t really offer anything of substance. Sorry if ruined your thread bc can’t read.

Technically they probably weren’t traitors. At the time there was no settled law that prohibited secession. It was very much an open question in 1861. The lack of legal certainty that the Confederate leaders, like Jefferson Davis, were guilty of treason is why they weren’t tried for treason.

That one is pretty lame. I have to give it to Woo Pig Sooie though. Hotty Toddy is up there. But something about grown men wooing with their hands in the air is cringe X 100

Do these count:
UF playing the theme from "Jaws" (movie about a shark...not a gator)
LSU with STTDB?

Reasonable minds fall on both sides of this issue. Article III of the Constitution stipulates that levying war against the United States is an act of treason. Philip Vigol and John Mitchell were found guilty of treason for their role in the Whiskey Rebellion (though pardoned by Washington) and John Fries was found guilty of treason for his role in Fries' Rebellion (and was pardoned by Adams). In both of these cases, they were convicted for levying war against the United States.
Some have argued that the nature of the United States' separation from Great Britain gives implicit legality and legitimacy to the succession of the Confederacy. However, the legal crux of the revolution was the imposition of laws on American colonists without representation in Parliament. The Confederacy could claim no such oppression by the federal government. The South's voice was heard in the 1860 elections, and could not claim the result to be undemocratic except to the extent that all elections in the United States were undemocratic before the guarantee of voting rights for women and minorities.
It is certainly possible that they would not have been found guilty, and that lack of certainty is the reason that they weren't tried, but I have no qualms about calling Jefferson Davis and the rest of the lot traitors when they made war against the United States without a legitimate legal leg to stand on for their succession.

So because YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU think it's a shite song, then it's a shite song - a song about BATON ROUGE, played inside of a stadium in.......wait for it....BATON ROUGE.
And it's played once before pregame. """"""O.N.C.E""""""
And as for your portrayal of "amping up rednecks" - you do realize this is not alabama, right ?????????

Worst SEC school chants
Rammer Jammer, Rocky Top, hoddy Toddy all tied for no.1
One of these is not like the other two. The two that don't classlessly insult other schools and fans.

Hotty Toddy chant is fine when done correctly with a lot of people, in the right situation
It’s also unique and ancient
However, I will admit that just saying “Hotty Toddy”, the two words, in passing as a greeting or insult to other fans is mega cringe and gay AF
