I am not the only one who thinks this song sucks. I already mentioned that it likely didn't apply to this thread.

That is contrary to the first sentence of your reply.
The Whiskey Rebellion and the Fries’s Rebellion are inapposite to the issue of secession. They did not involve an effort to secede by a state government.
There was an unsettled legal issue as to whether states could legally secede. It might have been a wrong position, but there was no legal authority that had decided the issue. It was a legitimate argument under the view that the United States was a voluntary union of the states. It was a widely held notion at the time that one first loyalty was to one’s state, not the federal union,
Most of us today assume that our post Civil War view of the indissoluble union was the orthodox view in 1860. It wasn’t necessarily so.
Had the Confederacy won the war, the issue of the legal right to secession would have been decided quite differently. The issue was settled by war, not by a court.
Note that I am not arguing for the position that secession was right, only that what we take for granted as obvious treason was not in fact obvious at the time.

Complaining about class is for losers, what bothers me about STTDB is a) it's off beat with the song
B) it sounds like something a 12 year old who thinks he's cool for starting to use curse words would make up
