I'm an LSU fan and people get all freaked out when we tigerbait them. If you just have fun with it and be a good sport and don't take it all personally we will usually invite you into out tailgate for boudin and jambalaya.

How should one take on a tiger baiting & what exactly does tiger baiting entail?

I've heard some horror stories about Gainesville

I've been 3-4 times for the LSU v UF series. Nothing out of the ordinary, a few fans talking shite after the game but that's to be expected.. especially after a close loss. They make the tailgating a little difficult but I've never had any problems out there.

Vandy. Great time overall, but learned my lesson the hard way on fake tickets. The school doesn't do much to help things out though, their legit tix look like they were printed by an original gutenburg, so they're easy to forge and impossible to discern between the real and fake. Still had a good weekend and the people are nice but that put a damper on things for sure.

Has to be in oxford and Ole Miss.

I live fairly close to Oxford and have stopped many times and eaten downtown. I like the atmosphere and some really nice restaurants. Problem, I was never wearing another teams colors.

I am a State fan but my son-in-law was a huge Kentucky fan and he had me a KY hat to wear. It was a basketball game. Only Ole Miss fans there were students and the KY fans outnumbered them. Ole Miss even beat them I think.

I was bragging on the downtown area and we should definitely eat before the game. We couldn't even get anyone to serve us. We got seated in a timely manner but it took forever to get served. People that came in after us were leaving before we got our meal. They have the stuff precooked there! It became a challenge at one point just to see if we would get served in time to make the game. The place was AJAX Diner, bunch of jerks there. Food is good though.

I love Ajax - their Deuce hamburger is great for curing a hangover - but the service is always "meh" at best.

I would say it's safe to say the carpetbaggers have taken over Columbia

Columbia is one of the most Southern cities I've ever been to, and I've spent time in every Deep South state.

Columbia SC is a weird culture, you go out downtown there and it's like you are in a downtown coastal Massachusetts city

Again, where did you go? I spent 8 years there and this couldn't be further from the truth. There's a huge Greek scene and a large black population. It's really a stereotypical mid-size Southern city with a college crowd.

Being screamed at "welcome to the SEC" by drunk Ole Miss idiots in 2012 after they scored their first and only touchdown of the first half. This coming after they had gone winless in the SEC the year prior.

That was the only bad thing though. People at Ole Miss do it the right way in terms of partying

And the women at that school... Christ Almighty

We're 60% in-state, but the largest number of out-of-state students we have come from NC (mainly Charlotte and the Triangle) and GA (Atlanta, Augusta and Savannah).

Good to see so many positives things about Fayetteville. Many let their experiences with other parts of Arkansas or their preconceived notions cloud their judgement. Not really an easy drive for many schools but I think most will be glad if they take the time to visit.

Vanderbilt game day experience was a let down, because there is no game day experience at Vanderbilt. The stadium is a disappointment when you first see it because it's so small.

It’s on my bucket list, just as soon as our respective admins wise-up and get us out of this awful Jerry World contract.

I had a 60+ year old aggie fan purposefully whoop as loud as he could into my ear in the jerry world parking lot walking back to my car. After I asked this man "how fricking old are you?" 2 dudes whom I assume were his sons come as backup threatening to jump me. Nothing actually happened but the cops saw the build up and did walk over and told all of us to leave pretty quickly after they started barking. Only negative experience I've had with aggie fans.

Only a few States cater to OOS. NC caps OOS to 18%. We know that FL and GA have the Lotto that pretty much shut outs OOS at the major public universities. Same with TX.

I really enjoyed Columbia and it's southern. I wouldn't say it's one of the most southern cities, though. some yankees but that's to be expected. most cities in North Carolina I've been to had 10x more yankees and most people commented on my accent there. I think Kentucky is more southern than NC.

edit: the accents in Columbia were a little faster and some words have a slight nasal quality, from the east coast. this probably throws some people off, but the culture is definitely southern.

If I was within 50 yards of that guy, I would've laid him out, but just kept moving bc it was just a few of my guy friends I was with and it wasn't anything that we hadn't seen before or anything and not worth ruining entire trip over. Im older now and had there been kids around, I'd beat that old dude down.

These are the stories that crack me up. A guy, over 50 yards away, pulled out his penis to yell at you? It’s either hilarious that you zeroed in on a little wiener from over 50 yards away, or you just made it up.

I've been to Fayetteville for a baseball game before. It was a nice little town, honestly
