I know this has been discussed on here many times, but what's the worst experience you've had as a visiting fan?

Nothing bad at all for me. Worst was the Gainesville and Tuscaloosa PD asking me to pour out my beer. And an Auburn fan tried to fight me at a gas station in 2010

Only bad road experience I've ever had was post-game in Starkville in 2007. And I'm sure it was just a bad batch of excited idiots.
I've been to Athens, Columbia, Gainesville, Knoxville, Nashville, Auburn, Baton Rouge, Oxford, Starkville and Fayetteville, all since 2005 (mostly between 2005 and 2008, Auburn and Knoxville multiple times pre-2005). Traveling to games is great - more folks should try it. You learn that most other fans are normal humans like you and you also get a sense of how great this league and it's schools are.
Those trips are some of my favorite college memories (and we basically lost all the games until my last year in 2008).

I've heard some horror stories about Gainesville.

Yup. Had a great time at each away game I’ve been to.

Yep when you actually go there you realize most fans are actually normal but everywhere there are always a few bad ones.

We had a weird experience at The Swamp (the bar, not the stadium) with a guy in a black Teddy Dupay basketball jersey screaming at us. But it was more weird than bad.

Little Rock. I hate the freaking dump. People are just straight trash.
Ashamed that my team plays there

Gainesville by far. Gainesville PD and UF PD are like the freaking gestapo with alcohol. Most bizarre shite I’ve ever seen. You’d think a program like Florida with rowdy fans would have a more chilled out gameday patrol like we have, but no. Found a few tailgates and met a few gator fans to talk football with, but after the game in 2017 most of them got shitty

A trip that everyone should try to make that most don't because of distance is Fayetteville. We had a great time up there.......other than Leigh Tiffin missing 16 extra points and field goals.

I've heard that from almost every other LSU fan I know that's been there.

I enjoyed each away experience. Most annoying goes to Bama though, but those were side walkers.

I think it’s almost to be expected with all the extra fuel the rivalry’s had in the past 10 years.

I (along with most Ags) would prefer to have the chance to go to games at Arky. If only we could get out of the Jerryworld deal.
Worst experience so far was Ole Miss. Loved Auburn best w/UGA close second. Haven’t made it to games at the other venues yet (although I’ve been to Starkville, Tuscaloosa, Fayetteville, and Red Stick)

Surprisingly, my worst experiences have been at South Carolina. They have the trashiest student section I've ever seen.

Going to Aggie is on my list.
Hoping that with kids a little older in a couple years the wife and I can make some of our OOC road games (Texas, Wisconsin, Notre Dame) and plug Aggie in there too.

2009 Egg Bowl in Starkville
State fans were next level shitty that day before the game and much worse after. Me and my buddies family were leaving the stadium minding our own business and several frat stars called my friend's mom a "fat bitch" then kept following us almost a half mile ringing cowbells in our ears.
That's the last time I will ever set foot in Starkville when Ole Miss is playing. I know most State fans are not like that but that soured my experience for good
