Ashlee Simpson-2005 Orange Bowl-seems like just yesterday.
Wasn't there in person fortunately...

Short version-for sanity's sake...

@ Tennessee in 2011 and that stupid Wizard of Oz shite they did. That was horrible. Even the Vols around me were embarrassed.

aTm in 2010 in Jerry World, over-hyped, under-performing disappointment, then their band played at half time.

North Texas, MTSU, and Southern Miss all have pretty good bands.

Let me see if I can adjust this to a UT/Ark/OU/TTech slant...

I was answering the question with my opinion; no need to white knight.

I prefer patriotic music to a medley from Cats; but to each his own.

Rice has the best band with the best half time acts in Texas.

They definitely have a unique following.
Very Stanford Band-esque.

It's always so coincidental that Aggie fans, without exception, prefer 1890s marches over ANYTHING.

I didn't say I prefer 1890s marches over anything.
This is a thread about the worst halftime performance [I've] ever seen.
Not unlike every other response, I gave my opinion
And I didn't bring up the Aggie Band; you did.
Zero clue why you just jumped in here like you're on some sort of heroin rage, but ok?

Late 80's Super Bowl...had a very bad Elvis impersonator/magician (Elvis Presto)...and also featured the Wienermobile

Happens when you mess up your proportions and heavily weight your band to the brass side. Can't forget the woodwinds.

The MDB went the other way the past decade. They used to have a massive brass section and now it's pretty normal with a shite ton of woodwinds. I don't have anything against woodwinds, but the best marching bands in the US have ZERO (DCI).

I have always enjoyed the precision marching and music of the Aggie Band. Of course I am old.

I remember being at an Iowa St game in Ames vs the Aggies, and at halftime, very few left their seats, so as to watch the performance.

You will not recall seeing the aggy marching band stepping foot on or inside DWR-RS.
