Anyone who saw the 2012 game SC vs UGA in The Cock Pit saw domination. UGA didn't score until the final minute against our scrubs and a lot of our fans were pissed that Spurrier allowed that to happen.

I think Gurshall (was that the name for the two of them?) had 77 yards combined rushing and 60 of those yards came on the final drive against our scrubs.

Clowney had four sacks that night I think ... and I don't remember how many TFLs we had.

It was total domination though.

Bama doesn't really take beatdowns.....last complete and utter beatdown of Bama was in the early 90's when Spurrier blew Stallings out 35-0. That one stands out for some reason.....There are probably others just can't recall......

Generally true. Rohan put up 528 and Reed 293 in 2001, but we still only won 35-21, and had the last score in the 4th to go up by 14.

September of '91. Ironic about that game was that UF lost the following week at Syracuse. Bama would not lose again for two years and two months! November of '93.

Edit: FWIW, the game at Syracuse in '91 was the last OOC game that UF played outside of the State of Florida.

The 2003 Alabama-LSU game was the last true complete and utter physical beat down I remember an Alabama team taking.

The UGA and Ole Miss games that year weren't close, but the LSU game was just an annihilation.

Became obvious during that game that Saban came to Tuscaloosa with the intention of putting the same 31-0 beatdown on Bama that he had suffered from them in '02 in BR. With the score 24-0, he became royally pissed off when LSU bogged down and had to kick a FG making the score 27-0 rather than 31-0. When Bama kicked the late FG to deny him his shutout, I thought he was going to die of a stroke right there on the sideline.

1998 Alabama at Arkansas. It was a pure bloodbath. 42-6 and Nutt would have scored 100 if he could have.

Missouri over Alabama in the 1968 Gator Bowl.

The score was 35-10, but the game was the most lopsided in modern Alabama history. Missouri outgained Alabama 402-23. Bama had -45 rushing and managed 3 offensive points. Mizzou didn't complete a single pass because they didn't have to.

Somehow, I knew Ole Miss would be involved on the losing end before I ever clicked on the thread.

And for the first time in his football life, Coach Bryant didn't give a damn. Because 16 days earlier he had buried, in his own words, "the favorite person in my life". Pat Trammell.

"A short time after Coach Bryant retired (due to advanced heart disease), legendary Birmingham News writer Clyde Bolton caught Bryant in a melancholy moment and asked him quietly, “Who was your favorite player, Coach?”

Oh course, Bryant would never pick one kid over the other, and he loved the guys who consistently tried to outwork their limited abilities every bit as much as his glittering All-Americans, but Bolton finally caught the legendary Alabama molder-of-men just right.

Coach Bryant talked about 10 or 15 “really special” players and then, pausing a moment, famously told the writer, “Now you’ll have to forgive me here for getting a little sentimental but … Pat Trammell was not just my favorite player … he was the favorite person … I’ve ever had in my life.”

That's who Pat Trammell was."

Great game? Everybody leaving that game, regardless of affiliation, left saying "we suck more". I was one of them.

True.

However Bo washed that off his hands and decided to be a better athlete and man.
