It is an event in Jacksonville.

It's funny how no one really comments about the rivalry between UGA and Auburn or UGA and GT.
It's almost as if they aren't exciting matches any longer.

Understand that and its a fun event but it reminds me of when LSU plays in Tampa or Orlando its a "event" but none of those stadiums add any value to a program

The only neutral site game that has value is the Red River Shoot Out, Cotton Bowl has a ton of history with college football

Put the games on campus host recruits and enjoy a great rivary or when no florida player will play in athens or a georgia player play gainsville

Both top 5 game day experciences in the SEC

Thanks for your perspective. It is noted.

As a UGA fan, you are wrong.

The school schedule at UGA adjusts for the game in JAX.
It's kind of a sign that it has value in the Dawg community.

Weve been playing Florida in Jacksonville since 1915, longer than Oklahoma-Texas have played in Dallas (1932).

It’s not like we just started playing Jacksonville when the Jags came along; before the 90s, this game was EVERYTHING to north Florida and South Georgia (still is in some cases).

People who want it to go home and home have 0 standing with me to bitch about how college football is losing what makes it special.

There a reason why they can't host recruits as it is?

I fail to see how it has hurt our recruiting, nevermind that more and more the top kids are committing pre-season. Hosting OVs during the season isn’t nearly as big a deal as it used to be

It isn’t like any neutral site rivalry game (at least for Dawg fans). Thousands take a week or days off and have mini vacations down the GA and FL coast…golf, beaches, boats…then WLOCP.

Most don’t actually stay in Jax.

So did UGA/UF get some kind of assurance from the front office that this game will continue to be played every year or did the stadium not require it?
