Breaking news! Unnamed sources say negotiations are underway to terminate Mike The Tiger as LSU's mascot. The Governor's office is reportedly not happy with the way Mike has been slouching around his habitat, just eating, sleeping and occasionally pacing around. "Mike has done nothing to help the team since day one" a source said.
LSU will reportedly be on the hook for six million dollars worth of ground beef and weekly conjugal visits by Michelle The Tiger. "That damn cat is living it up at the taxpayer's expense!" a source close to the governor was quoted as saying.

Good thing Reed threw that pick in the end zone. A&M hangs 50+ and Louisiana gets sold back to the French.

A&M deserves all the credit for this masterpiece.
I'd like to think that Ole Miss instigated the slide for LSU. A&M just put 49 exclamation points on it.

And at the same time also screwed up the two biggest money makers for the school: football and MBB.

Will Wade was the best thing to happen to LSU basketball in 30 years (minus a random John Brady final 4 run with a loaded team) and Woodward acted like a complete puss in how he handled that.

LSU being ran by a retarded governor is how it was always meant to play out.
I mean the restarted goner has a point. This AD has costed his last 2 schools over $100 million just in buyouts in football. Why should he get another chance?

I love to see it. How did this guy get elected? Destroying the state flagship institution’s athletic department to own the libs lol
I admit to not knowing too much about Landry. But Woodward left A&M in shambles. Woodward is too close to sexton.
I will always believe sexton was trying to help Kentucky and screw A&M by unloading Stoops and his fifty million(?) buyout on A&M. Wouldn't bother me a bit if some of the karma now visiting Woodward also visited sexton.

The state of Louisiana has been run by retarded governors for generations, but the last 30 years they’ve stayed away from LSU athletics.
Not anymore. Anyone with any common sense knows where this is headed, but most are too dumb or blind to see that. good ole-boy Cajun politics is once again running LSU.

May end up true but we don’t fire coaches quickly. He has the D back to standards and will really focus on O off season. If he can get O fixed then watch out.
Also, keeping a coach a bit longer keeps money freed up to spend on NIL. Not having to buy out HC, AD and all the assistants plus possibly a buyout of coach to hire will allow us to spend big on O.
Most coaches are figure heads and the real difference is your OC/DC. We have DC covered so with Arbuckle in first year they’ll give him a few years to fix O. We’ll also pick up some good flips with coaching stability

You know nothing of what you speak of. Do you actually believe Bruce Pearl signed Danjel Purifoy, Austin Wiley, Mustapha Herron, and Chuma Okeke to come to Auburn in the early stages of his career there because of the nonexistent prestige of Auburn basketball? Everyone cheats their arse off in CBB and some athletic departments stand behind their guys while Woody gave in to the mob.

Sure. I’ll give Ole Miss credit also. In fact it makes the Lane Kiffin piece of this pretty juicy.
But I still can’t get over the Governor and the BOR regents. Woodward had to pack his bags immediately…

The FEDS didn't have Pearl on a wire admitting that he himself bought players. I can't ever remember a University sticking with a HC that was caught dead to rights. In fact, that HC gets fired every single time.

I heard some reporter on Finebum today say it is 6 million.
This is what I saw as well. But, unlike BK, this one is likely negotiated down, as I saw he "resigned" in a headlined vs "fired."
