Agreed that this is the place to cut off at. I've said that for years because that was about when the recruits were born. But, now that it is 2026, when do we move that cut off year up?

Makes what Tony did for Tennessee baseball all the more impressive

Very few recruits care about wins and titles and all that. They all care about money and playing for a charismatic coach. If recruits cared about wins and natties, then players would be going to South Carolina instead of Tennessee. I think recruits only care about the present situation not the history, but just my opinion

He had a hell of a run. From an outsider, I couldn't stand all of the nonsense that came with his teams. But, as an LSU fan, I definitely understand being the villian and it is a LOT of fun.

The greatest position player in college baseball history signed to play for…Paul Mainieri…long before NIL was even a thing.

I remember an Arkansas fan on here tried to say that Crews wouldn't even crack their outfield starting lineup. Troll or not, that's some funny shite.

NIL started in 2021; Crews was a freshman in 2021. Either way at the time of his commitment, Manieri was still considered a top coach

Why are you so insecure of Texas baseball?

The fact that Arkansas, North Carolina, Louisville, Clemson and ECU have never won a National Title in baseball just goes to show how truly difficult it is. LSU might make it look easy but it's so freakin tough to do. These 5 schools have fielded some monster teams and never gotten over the hump. Hell ECU has never even advanced to a CWS before.

ETA I left off the #1 team on the list FSU

Dave Serrano coached at UT for 6 seasons during this period and had only one where he won more than 30 games (2014 - 31).

Todd Raleigh coached at UT during this period and never won more than 30 games.

Rod Delmonico coached 7 seasons at UT during this period and won less than 30 games once (2002 - 27).

Vitello coached 9 seasons at UT during this period and won less than 30 games twice (his first season 2017 - 27), (2020 season - team went 15-2).

Until looking at this, I didn't fully appreciate how much Serrano and Raleigh sucked.

Who said anything about Texas baseball?

Since the last time Texas played for a CWS title, and lost, the following teams have been to at least 2 CWS Finals.

LSU
South Carolina
Florida

Take YOUR insecurity and YOUR assless chaps back to Orangebloods where you can all pretend it’s still 2005

I'm old enough to remember when Texas was a national power in baseball.
