Update:
In its announcement of the probation tonight at its headquarters here, the N.C.A.A. cited violations dating from 1977 to 1982. Dan Ford, the present Clemson head coach, replaced Charlie Pell in December 1978 after Pell resigned to become coach at Florida. The violations included giving prospective players automobiles, television sets, clothing, ''substantial'' sums of cash and other gifts, the N.C.A.A. said. In addition, the N.C.A.A. said Clemson had awarded scholarships to friends and relatives of recruits and paid telephone bills of recruits' families.

Clemson is openly talking about hiring away Bama personal and modeling their program after Bama. It's fairly obvious they're some cheats

IBG, can you believe all these sour-faced little bitches in this thread?
You'd think with all those WBB wins they'd be a little happier, wouldn't you?

You still miss the biggest cheat in football? Sad!
The Clemson University football program is being accused by the National Collegiate Athletic Association of more than a dozen illegal recruiting contacts and of giving players up to $150 in cash from 1984 to 1988, an N.C.A.A. report released today said.
If Clemson is found guilty of the violations, the school could be placed on probation for the second time in less than 10 years. The N.C.A.A. put Clemson on a two-year probation in November 1982 for 70 violations that occurred between 1976 and 1982 under Charlie Pell and under the present head coach, Danny Ford, who took over in December 1978.
Clemson made the N.C.A.A. report and its allegations public four days after the school received it, but erased all references identifying those named in the 15-page document. The organization does not publicize such allegations, but allows schools to release the information.
The Clemson president, Max Lennon, said in a statement accompanying the released report that the school would ''take all appropriate steps to protect the integrity of the university'' in the wake of the allegations.
The N.C.A.A. has charged the school, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, with 14 rule violations, the most serious being cash payments of $15 to $150 to players and recruits by both coaches and boosters.
In the most damaging recruiting allegation, the N.C.A.A. says that from November 1984 to September 1987, six coaches made 11 illegal recruiting contacts, which included meeting with four high school juniors and one sophomore. The N.C.A.A. does not allow college coaches to recruit players in person until after the players are no longer juniors.

Wait a second, I thought Clemson modeled their program on Alabama and had nearly every Alabama coach in the world --- so...wouldn't all these corruption issues actually be coming from Alabama?
Just trying to see where it comes from initially.

Couple mistakes there. Where you alive then? First it was $50 not 15. Second a lot of the violations were while Pell was head coach. Some were Fords but not all. Pell went to Florida and they were soon on probation. Fords firing was over a disagreement with the President over Ford being critical of the president wanting a new academic center while Ford wanted a new football dorm. Kind of stupid on Fords part.
Was there lived it for a year before transferring

No you sheep humping dipshit it is the 69 charges and over 150 violations in the 1982 investigation.
It could also be the PED scandel in the late 80's where clempson coaches went to prison and your school president quit because the AD refused to quit cheating.
For the last 40 years cheating and clempson have walked hand in hand kinda like your dad and sister.
