Some guys are really really good recruiters. Penny Hardaway is no slouch and neither is Will Wade, they both know how to get shite done.

With how busy the NCAA is gonna be with Arizona and then LSU, Memphis will have a few more years to keep cheating their balls off before getting chopped too.

Out of those 7 commits, only 1 is outside the top 100 and he is the 108th player in the country lol. He isnt even kindve hiding it. Were these kids even alive when Penny Hardway was good at Basketball?

Why wouldn't I wanna go play for a college basketball & NBA icon like Penny?
Memphis is a cool little city, Penny has had AAU teams, middle school and HS championship teams. He's gonna build a juggernaut there. Watch.

Memphis is about as cool as Detroit, theyre both shite holes and you know it. They have good food and memphis in may so theres that i guess.

There is more to it than what he did as an NBA player. His connections within the AAU circuit are bigger than that.

What's in place to prevent programs from running freaking wild? Just lay it all out there, wheel and deal with the runners/agents/financial advisers, etc. get momma paid and gather as many studs as they can, right?

Let's also consider Penny took what was a decent Memphis team from last year and did basically nothing better with this past season.
2017-18 Memphis = 21-13, 10-8 AAC, didn't make tourney
2018-19 Memphis = 22-14, 11-7 AAC, also didn't make tourney
They returned 4 starters, and had 5 senior starters on the team this year.
