Well we've all had the same amount of chances at it.

A1abana is tied with Clemson for most 15-0 seasons pooped away in the final game. That’s pretty cool imho.

Don’t mention facts to LSU fans, it confuses them, makes them angry and irrational, well more irrational and they start yelling shite like “Geaux”, “Play Nekk”, and “Dammut Pawwwuhhhhllll!”

Their state sucks so much that they can’t even put together a decent second school to have their own in state rival, so they have to try to create a rivalry with a school two states away that has an instate rival and a neighboring state rival that they actually have a rivalry with, not some annoying little step cousin who thinks he belongs at the adult table because they lucked into hiring the best coach of the century slightly before their superior got them.

Just give them some king cakes with corn dogs and truck nuts in them and they’ll calm down for an hour or two.

Only team to ever beat seven top ten teams in a season. Only team to ever beat the preseason AP top four. Five victories against teams that finished in the top ten at the end of the season.

But yeah, Nebraska running up the score on the likes of Kansas, Iowa State, and Missouri is more impressive.

7 top ten teams?

No.

I have no complaints about saying LSU had the greatest season of the past 5 years.

But 95 Nebraska remains the GOAT.

No.

Even if you go with the final poll, it's still better than anyone else.

We can’t decide if top ten at time of game or after season matters more.

But until proven otherwise, you’re just 10-3 interrupted by the crossroads of a lifetime.

Weird melt. South Carolina is a better state because Clemson sticks it in your arse every year?

1 more than 95 Nebraska. And it takes combining 3 of your lowest MOV games to get 1 point better than Nebraska's lowest MOV game. 14 vs 3, 5 and 7.

Even with the extra game, your combined MoV is still 25 points lower than Nebraska vs top10 teams.

LSU won big games, but Nebraska dominated big games.

LSU is on an 8 game win streak against top 10 teams. Has any team ever done that?

Unless that '95 Nebraska team beat 7 top 10 opponents, then the argument against LSU being the GOAT is without any merit.

Played a shitty schedule and didn't dominate their opponents the way 95 Nebraska did.

There are arguments to be made for and against 2019 LSU being the greatest team ever This isn’t one of them.

LSU beat 5/9 of the top 10 teams not named LSU. They beat the preseason AP top 4.
LSU never trailed in the second half after the UF game.
LSU absolutely THROTTLED then #4, new #4, and convincingly dicked down a team on a 29 game winning streak and reigning national champs.

95 Nebraska came in on a 12 game winning streak after going undefeated in 1994. They then went undefeated again in 1995 for a 24 game winning streak at the end of that year.

I'm not a lame arse who needs to artificially inflate the accomplishments of 95 Nebraska, so even using end of the year rankings yes, Nebraska had a longer winning streak vs real top10 teams.

PS: In 1993, Nebraska went 11-1, losing their last game of the season/National Championship. They had 1 total loss over 3 seasons.

That's funny considering they were top10 teams and LSU fans keep trying to claim #25/NR Texas they beat by 7 as a top10 team.

LSU played a MUCH tougher schedule and still either dominated or controlled every game. The three games that you call "struggling" were all vs ranked teams. Nebraska played such games vs 8 loss type teams in an inferior conference. It's the same argument people have against Clemson every year.
quote:

LSU never trailed in the fourth quarter.

Only time trailed by double-digits was against Clemson (17-7), before answering by out-scoring Dabo Swinney’s Tigers 35-8.

Defeated a record seven AP top-10 teams at the time they played and 5 of the top 8 in the final poll, including going 4-0 against top-5 teams.

Only team ever to beat entire AP preseason top 4.

Defeated Clemson, Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida and Georgia by an average margin of 19.6 points. Those five teams posted a combined 60-4 record against non-LSU opponents.

But, yeah, we probably didn't dominate a considerably tougher schedule.
